Another slow start, but the Cats pull away. Cats 42, Illini 7.

Another parallel to football? This NU team has constantly started slow this year, as it feels like each game they are still getting into the flow of the game and find themselves looking at a deficit. Can't have that tonight, especially against an Illini team that has young talent and, to their credit, plays really hard.

I expect NU to win this game, but if we come out slow and let them get an early lead and gain momentum/confidence, we could absolutely drop this one. The longer this young Illini team is in it, the more confident they will get. They absolutely have the talent to beat us. On the other hand, if we come out quickly and get on them early, this is also the type of game we could win by 20+ points. No idea which is going to happen, but based on the season so far, I think it's more likely this will be a battle.

If NU doesn’t come out playing scrappy and desperate, something is seriously wrong. Illinois embarrassed these guys twice last year in their historic season. And they’re the in-state rival, which should mean something for Lindsey, Law, Ash and Benson in particular.

This is a must-win game in my book.

Completely agree. We either win this one in a rout or it's a game that looks a lot like Tuesday night.

Now -5! Converging to my line haha. Are the bookies reading these boards??
I'll say Cats 77, Illinois 68. Thinking / hoping our boys get over their early season blues and rise to the occasion for the start of conference season. Some better shooting, but more importantly better team defense and rebounding.

But we'll see.

Go CATS!
