I think you have found your niche-----and it ain't football.
UK has some very talented YOUNG talent, but which team besides EKU (that we beat, all that matters) are we so clearly better talent wise, especially in upperclass talent? Vandy is the obvious choice, but their 12 class (seniors) had three four stars to our one (Towles, now gone) and they had ZERO two stars with only four of their three stars at the low end at 5.5s. We only had eight of the 26 commits from 12 that were regulars, and if you except Towles the seven averaged less than a 5.5, Toth probably the best of the rest at a 5.4.
In the 13 class Stoops brought in three four stars, but Smith graduated to the NFL while Vandy had five four stars. They had one two star, but he was a kicker, while we had three two stars.. They only had two 5.5 three stars while we had five 5.5 three stars so their three stars were rated higher than our three stars in both classes.
So, while we do have more talent overall (I think) because of the 14 class, most of our best talent is still very young, and that does make a difference.
This is comparing our upperclass talent to what is generally agreed is the least talented SEC team, and we are still so far behind the rest of the SEC talent wise overall it isn't funny. it won't be corrected overnight, but I expect the 14 class to grow up a lot next year, and we have some excellent talent joining them, most of it underrated.
We still have a very solid class in 16 with help where needed the most, and when we win a few, the recruiting will take off again.
