I'd imagine plenty of season ticket holders are too right now. Driving home late at night after that crap performance and debating on what remaining homes games they're willing to sell their tickets for.

I recall Southern Cal firing Lane Kiffin before he returned to LA from a game in Arizona and 2013. If they can do that, why can't Beamer fire Teasley and Shula right now?

Brad Scotts last year was the year my family gave up season tickets, gamecock club....all of it. The last time I set foot in WB was Brad Scotts last win and I don't plan to return. I am still a big fan but just not going to make that financial and time investment just to watch the same BS regardless of who the coach is. I know we had a few good years under Spurrier but I have saved thousands and have my weekends.

No, but I kept every ticket stub to every game I ever went to. I have a box...lol. I have signed GC handkerchiefs with guys like George Rogers, Willie Scott, Getel, Schecterly, many I can't remember off top of my head.

Did you attend USC?

Ball State, '98? Did you frame the ticket stub?
I was there. Had just turned 21. Remember game vividly about winning but thinking how bad we looked. I didn't return back to a home game until '00 though followed every game on tv or radio. You could sense a long season was coming in '98. I remember listening to Sportstalk in the evenings during the season discussing Brad's potential termination.

I remember having that same feeling - “they look like this against Ball State? This year going to suck.” But still never envisioned what was to follow.

Exactly, we won but felt like we lost. Just discombobulated all over the field. I I used to listen to Sportstalk as well but quit doing that because every year was just a repeat except the names changed.

I’m angry. Mostly at myself for being so stupid as to believe 1 ounce of the preseason hype that was coming our way. You would think I started being a gamecock fan this season. The kind of success they were predicting for us simply does not happen. I knew that. And even as I was reading the predictions, I would tell myself it couldn’t possibly be, but gradually, I found myself beginning to buy in.

They gave up as a team. You could see it in their body language.
The worst part about it was; they gave up and were still in the game score wise and there was plenty of time left to play. In my opinion, that goes directly to team culture and that goes directly to the head coach. A team with a culture of winning never gives up. I watched the UGA/Tenn game and UGA had every reason to give up after Tenn went up 38-30 with around 6 minutes to play. Tenn had looked like the better team all game and UGA's offense looked like a typical bumbling Bobo offense. After Tenn scored, UGA came out and drove the field, scored a td and a 2 pt conversion to tie the game with 2 minutes left. A missed fg by Tenn sent the game to overtime and then UGA won in the first overtime. The point is; UGA never gave up and no one would have blamed them if they had.

When Doty came on the field, you could see the body language of the team change. They were beaten at that point even though there was a lot game left and the score was far from out of hand.

That late whistle for the targeting call really sucked. Harbor had nothing but green grass in front of him. A long TD on a pass from Doty the play after Sellers going down would have energized this team. That's not an excuse for how they played so lethargic the rest of the game, but man that would have been a boost to the team and crowd. That's why Beamer was so furious they blew it dead after it was snapped and I agree with him.

Agree. I also didn't care for Beamer's emotional response on the sidelines. Reminded me of the Illinois game. He needs to learn how to express his anger without going nuts. The team was watching him get rattled both times.

Beamer is Dabo 2.0. They both wear their emotions on their sleeves and play to the fan base like a motivational speaker. Both lose their minds on the sidelines and think it fires up the team.

If you ever go to a game again you will be amazed at the transformation of Williams-Brice and the area surrounding it.

I'd take 181-49 career record with 9 conference titles and 2 national titles.

Put Dabo at SC and I doubt he has the record he has.
He'd have to bring all his coaches with him too, but yeah we have a gov appointed board of trustees who are not all that concerned about football records.
