will be at least a 14 point favorite against Louisville.

I mean, playing at the Joan, the mecca of college football in the city of Huntington, how can MU NOT be heavily favored? The Herd has never been the underdog at the Joan.....well maybe once or twice.

Furthermore, Marshall will be favored by 10 or more when playing Pitt.

And I'm saying it now,,,,especially after reading Marshall boards.......MU woulda beaten us practically every year in which we did NOT play.

I'll take Louisville +14....name a figure!

gcb makes a decent point. One has to only look at the results from the last three decades of action to reach a similar conclusion.

That game is probably off the board....non-competitive. Those Vegas boys, and boys from overseas know what a grind house The Joan is. It's like Death Valley at night, except instead of 100k it's 20k......

Oh, there'll be opportunity to take a position on that tilt! Depending on what Louiville does with FSU the week before they invade the Joan, I think Cards - 7 to 8 sounds about right, of course a huge difference between 7 to 8.

The last three tilts:

Herd 17, Cards 13 (side note - the cousins took a beating from the Cards that same year, but we defended their honor once again)
Herd 38, Cards 15
Herd 48, Cards 29

Average margin of victory 15.33/game.

I'll take Loserville and give 8 points to anyone on here that wants to take Marshall.

I don't think they're Loserville....if they beat FSU they're off to the races, IMHO! Lamar Jackson is the second coming of Pat White but throws the ball better.

We had to kick the **** out of the Terps one year for ***** slappin' the Cousins around without our permission! That Motor City Bowl game score was deceiving, game wasn't that close as called off the dogs and Cards scored late.

You boys sure are giddy about getting a team that anyone ever heard of come to the Joan. Enjoy every moment, it doesn't happen often. I had to google search one of your other home opponents to learn if there really was a school called Morgan State.......

Didn't WVU stomp Marshall (as usual) by three touchdowns that same year? Head-to-head tells the story, much more than "like opponents"...

When rivals like WVU and Louisville play, you have to throw records out the window. Anything can happen.

They are giddy because it is as close as they will ever come to getting a school associated with the word 'Morgan' to come to the joan.

Oh those glories moral victories, because the real ones are so damn hard to come by. Here is a list of the scores from the Friends of Coal series with MVU.
September 2, 2006 Morgantown #5 West Virginia 42 Marshall 10 WVU 6–0
September 8, 2007 Huntington #3 West Virginia 48 Marshall 23 WVU 7–0
September 27, 2008 Morgantown West Virginia 27 Marshall 3 WVU 8–0
October 17, 2009 Morgantown West Virginia 24 Marshall 7 WVU 9–0
September 10, 2010 Huntington #23 West Virginia 24 Marshall 21 WVU 10–0
September 4, 2011† Morgantown #24 West Virginia 34 Marshall 13 WVU 11–0
September 1, 2012 Morgantown #11 West Virginia 69 Marshall 34 WVU 12–0

Average score from the last 7 game series WVU 38 MVU 16. Just saying.
