”You improve most between Week #1 and Week #2”

Bulls*@t!

We are moving into the window when teams define themselves.
The 9 week regular seaon has seen countless teams begin unimpressive, only to improve, gel and go onto incredible seasons.
Kudos to the teams that started strong and began the season achieving 85+% of their potential.
They have earned the accolades.

Have some fun this year and keep an eye out for the most improved squads.

These are teenage boys learning about life and collecting a few bumps ‘n bruises along the way, both physically & emotionally. Enjoy witnessing their journey!

Crete-Monee started 0-3.
St .Charles North loses to tight games in weeks 8 & 9.
The Hilltoppers entered week 9 at 4-4 and were trailing at halftime.
Each of them will play in state championship games on Saturday.
One can rationalize their paths as much as one cares to, but what cannot be denied is the determination of each of these teams.
They did not give-in to adversity when doing so was the easier path, but instead stayed focused and improved each week.
Hats off to these guys and all of the teams and coaches that made it to week 14 as the world is full of distractions and you are all still standing.
Good luck this weekend to all of the teams and let's hope for injury free games.

Obviously every team is different. However, I believe most teams improve the most after their first loss.

I've always said you want to lose once in the regular season so you know your weakness. No sense finding that out weeks 10-14
