And there’s no proof he knew...and he’s being painted guilty by a lynch mob with zero evidence.

Exactly. Until there is real evidence to the contrary, this man's reputation as a human being is being dragged through the mud on social media in an effort to get a different head coach that a fanbase thinks will get more wins. Whatever you think of him as a head coach, nobody deserves that unless they actually did what is being alluded to.

I agree with the other poster on this thread, sounds just like the typical Penn State fan response. Deny, deny, deny, and play the victim.

Schiano is the victim here. Absolutely ZERO evidence he knew.

Agree, but if tennessee fans have convinced the adminstration the hire isnt worth it, a storm the twitter by a few dozen RU fans is an absolute waste of time and 5mb of data.

"Oh wait, the RU Rivals messageboard people says Greg is fine, gee lets reconsider and hire him...what you guys think"

Yeah, yeah, Greg's the victim, JoePa was the victim too, no evidence, no evidence, they are just out to ruin these men's reputations. It is all fake news. Yeah, Greg didn't know, he is a victim just like those children.

I know a player who played for him and started all 4 years. When I talk about Schiano he just says NOT A GOOD GUY! Enough for me!

Schiano will be fine. He’s not a victim. He’s a big boy, a rich boy, and is about to become a little richer.

Someone with personal knowledge of the situation claims he knew. That is not 'no evidence'.
Someone with personal knowledge of the situation claims another coach told him that Schiano knew.

MM said Bradley told him that Schiano saw something. Bradley denies ever saying that and said he never heard from Schiano about it. Schiano also denied it.

It doesn't matter to me if Greg is hired as a head coach, but at least get the story correct.

Not trying to get him rehired. Just think it’s unfortunate his reputation is being tarnished. And it’s not just RU fans. Other fan bases, media, etc are all supporting him.

And most every legal expert, Judge, etc. threw that deposition out. It was hearsay. It evidence.
That is right, just like JoePa, they are out to get Greg. He didn't know, he never knew nothing, and none of you's can prove it. It is a frame by those out to get Greg and JoePa, all hearsay, no evidence.

Well Paterno admitted under oath he heard about it. That’s not hearsay.

Players say/said the same kinds of things about Belichick, Saban, Parcells etc. Most winning coaches dont win Miss Congeniality awards. The Floods in football win those

Anyone who thinks Greg Schiano represents the "dark side" of college football is cracked

Except there was an investigation and a report stating JoePa knew. But keep grinding that Axe.

If Sandusky coached at Rutgers there would be fans on this site defending him too

And if he didn't?
Greg knew. They all knew for years.
If someone gets drunk & out of hand at an office x-mas party, it's gossiped about for years.
If you see something like Sandusky was doing, it becomes an open secret.
Greg's defense is really only that he was 25 years old at the time. How many 25 years olds at their first dream job are going to take charge of the investigation?

And there’s a big difference between hearing “gossip” and “knowing and covering something up.”

If I hear gossip I don’t necessarily deem it true.

That was my point, to argue otherwise is just nonsensical, it is a very tight nit group.

No one is saying he never heard gossip!! Do you seriously not know the difference between hearing gossip and “knowingly covering up a rape”? (As is the reason Tenn backed off him)

Sorry, but if I heard "gossip" about one of my coworkers sexually abusing boys then I certainly hope I would have enough courage even at 25 to speak up and bring it to someone's attention in law enforcement. We are taking about children being sexually abused, not who is dating who.
