Who has the best chance to dethrone Salem?

I won't directly address the question, but Lake Taylor was young last year just looking at their roster. It doesn't show any Sr's on the roster, if it is accurate. They could certainly be more of an East contender, like we are accustomed to seeing.

Handley has some good underclassmen; if I remember correctly they had a Freshman quarterback for a few games last year. Their program was hurt due to factors outside their control, which when combined with moving from 3A to 4A at around the same time led to a few steps in the wrong direction. They'll be back.

Salem has been in the finals four straight years and won the last three. This can't go on forever. However a bad year at Salem is 7-3 and that would still get them in the playoffs
