Frost needed and I truly believe wanted that infinitely more than NU.

For all of Fitz's stubborn faults...best road game coach in the game today(?)

This game had Fitz written all over it, grinding the huskers into the dust while far from home. For all his faults, I'm very grateful for Fitz.

Congratulations to NW! Frosty is on suicide watch, both his kNebby employment and his staff management.

The team I saw today reminded me a lot of the more successful wildcat teams from the recent past. We were disciplined on defense and generally avoided big plays. The tackling was pretty solid (a few ugly sequences but overall good). We ran the ball effectively. We made fewer mistakes than the opposition. We won a close game.

Agree completely. The fact that it was a first game with a Transatlantic flight makes the sharpness of play all the more impressive.

Are you serious? This team looks nothing like the successful wildcat teams from the recent past. Something closer to the Dunbar Colby years. But, really somewhere in between because the defense was better than Colby Swiss. But, make no mistake, we outgunned them. Nebraska had close to 500 yards of offense. and 4 TDs We just had more firepower. Threw for 313 yards, but had 240 rushing. Our OL was dominant. We won for the first time on offense in recent memory. The D was much improved (relative to a super low bar last year), but not as improved as the offense.

I've been waiting for this day for about a decade. If we are going to lose, I prefer to go down swinging and putting up 30+ ppg.
