The article mentions TRAINING. The genius WV legislature and 2nd Amendment extremists "don't need no stinking training".

You didn't answer my question. How many states? BTW, I don't mind requiring training for CCP's. Just not undue burdens.

You're the one that likes to make up **** like you know exactly that our founding fathers were bigots against gay marriage, so you tell us.

The more important point is the more extreme wingnuts want to be able to carry concealed without training and background checks. The article clearly states they were only alive because he was a better shot because of training.

Like a good lib, avoid the facts. You clearly don't want to answer the question. In mostly liberal states, this couple would be dead.

Provide any evidence at all that the framers of the 14th Amendment would have supported gay marriage. Any at all. My evidence is that they were overwhelmingly Christian and were followers of and believers in the Bible. Clearly the Bible offers zero support for gay marriage.

You are so damn dumb you don't even know why this country was founded. They were FLEEING religious persecution. They sure as hell weren't founding a country based on religious principles. Do they words "all men are created equal", "certain inalienable rights", and "justice for all" mean anything to you? They were so Christian that they mentioned Jesus several times in the Constitution, right?

Wait a minute, you're the guy that was crying about "unelected judges". Please look up Article 3 of the U.S. Constitution and get back to us.

I gave you cold, hard facts. You are the one avoiding them by not talking about training. Keep toeing the party line.

What a flippin moron. The Founders didn't want a national church but they were primarily Christian. The Framers of the 14th Amendment were, by a huge majority, Christian. We were an overwhelmingly Christian nation in 1865. You're absolutely insane or incredibly stupid if you believe for a moment that the nation of 1865 would have supported gay marriage. Hell, the nation of 2000 didn't support gay marriage. And to believe the original intent of the 14th Amendment was to help pave the way for gay marriage is imbicilic.

Here is a cold hard fact. In 1868 when the 14th Amendment was ratified, homosexual behavior was a felony in every state in the country.

What part of this do you not understand? "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion".

That has ZERO to do with this debate. The question at hand is the 14th Amendment and its framers support for gay marriage. It is preposterous to claim the framers woould have supported gay marriage. As I posted, homosexual behavior was a felony in every state in the country in 1868. And as I posted the vast majority of the country at that time was Christian. It has nothing to do with establishing a National Christian Church. It has to do with the intent of the framers of the 14th Amendment.

We've NEVER been a Christian nation. NEVER! EVER EVER! LMAO at you!

I've never said we were founded as a Christian nation. I correctly stated that the vast majority of the country in 1868 was Christian and that Christian's would never have supported gay marriage. Apart from that, no religion in the world would have supported gay marriage in 1868.

You mean exercise our constitutional rights? How crazy of us.

But I'll go through the silly hoops of paying for a CCW class, and then paying the county a fee to get the actual license.

We don't know why they were alive, but I would always strongly suggest ANYONE that wants to carry train and practice as often as possible, and not just against paper targets at a lane range. Tomorrow I'll be spending my day off practicing some IDPA drills, then Saturday competing in a Steel Challenge match.

Where in the 2nd amendment did the constitution require qualifiers for the freedom?

Only amendment to the constitution I know of where the Gov has applied qualifiers and taxes to exercise said right. Amazing.
