In light of the all the ESPN firings, here's a prophetic voice of someone who stood up against the newest Woke Tyrant, Malika Andrews.

The alphabet people make up around 7-8% of the human population.

Not exactly a group I would market my product to increase profits. But one I would target if I was trying to push an agenda.
You're overestimating by about 100%. Before Gen Z made it trendy to identify as whatever gets attention, the best estimation of the U.S. was 3.5%-4%. This statistic makes your second statement more compelling.

Bud light has lost $27 billion.

Target has lost $15.7 billion.

Would you care to point to a business where they made money by pandering to the left’s political ideology?

No it’s not hypocritical. There’s a big difference between voting with your wallet and supporting businesses that celebrate and encourage sinful behavior. I believe in free will and individual freedom far more than most most conservatives. However, I do not agree with the celebration and endorsement of sinful practices that is occurring in modern America

I don’t think so in Bud Light’s case. Lots of options out there. For people that decided to stop buying it, they won’t get them back. Too many other options. People have already moved on. I haven’t had a Bud Light in my refrigerator in over a decade anyway so it didn’t affect me either way, I’m getting a kick out of watching what’s happened though.

As far as picking a side and getting 50% support, the trans community is less than 5% of the population. They’d have been better off sticking with the base that built them, now they’re the Queen of Beers. Oops.
Yeah just in my little square area of the world all of our softball teams in the city leagues used to drink Bud Light. This year they quit drinking Bud Light and they won't go back. they picked up another brand or two. Bud Light lost a lot in this area alone.

Why just make up crap when you can just spend a minute looking stuff up and refute everything you’ve written?
Go ahead and refute what I said then. If it only takes a minute it should be easy.

Btw I looked up those numbers. I also didn’t even mention Disney which has lost in the hundreds of billions. Again, easy to look up.

Disney has lost almost a billion dollars recently on movies that most would consider “woke”.

Disney laid off over 7000 people recently.

Disney owns ESPN.

People can roll their eyes at politics but ultimately they can’t ignore it. It has seeped into everything.

An acquaintance put this together. I haven't checked it but he knows his stuff. According to him, Disney's lost $870 million on its last ten films (I assume he'll update once Dial of Destiny wraps):

Also Disney's stock was downgraded last week:

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/disn...banc-on-meaningful-uncertainty-155143905.html

KeyBanc Capital Markets analyst Brandon Nispel downgraded Disney stock (DIS) to Sector Weight from Overweight on Thursday, citing "meaningful uncertainty" as the 2024 financial setup "feels a lot like the 2023 setup."

Nispel called out five areas of concern, which include stalling direct-to-consumer (DTC) subscriber growth, a failure to differentiate DTC churn, sagging Disney content sales, a "materially harder" reality for moving ESPN to streaming, along with fears that domestic park expectations appear too high in the US.

"We prefer to step aside, acknowledging meaningful uncertainty, and wait for further catalysts, as buying the dip has been a losing trade," he wrote in his note to clients, adding he sees "more negative than positive [near-term] catalysts."

Disney shares were muted in market trading following the downgrade.

The parks business, which saw operating income hit $2.17 billion in Disney's latest quarter, has consistently been a bright spot for Disney, although Nispel said theme park attendance data remained weak for both April and May.

"Disneyland growth due to its 100th anniversary celebration is more than offset by [Walt Disney World's] contraction from comparisons against its 50th anniversary celebration. We worry the 'tough comps' are not properly reflected in consensus," the analyst wrote.

He added the company's new labor contract in Florida, coupled with the accelerated depreciation of the Starcruiser hotel, will further pressure margins.

On the streaming side, KeyBanc expects further losses from Disney+ and Hulu as growth tapers off amid escalating competition.

Disney stock saw its biggest decline in six months after the media giant reported Disney+ shed 4 million subscribers in its fiscal second quarter following recent price hikes.

ESPN remains another murky area for the company. Last month, The Wall Street Journal reported Disney is currently laying the groundwork to transform ESPN into a fully over-the-top streaming service — something Disney CEO Bob Iger has said will happen.

"At this point, [ESPN+] is what I call a flanker business or brand to the main ESPN brand," Iger said in March. "Down the road, at some point, I think it's inevitable...[ESPN] will become a direct-to-consumer business."

But Nispel noted recent Keybanc survey data shows a "low willingness to pay."

"Who's going to pay $30+/month for ESPN? Not many," the analyst wrote. "From our survey work, we found consumer interest in sports is relatively high in linear, though willingness to pay in streaming is low: we found >25% of subscribers would not be willing to pay for a pure sports streaming service, 46% of subscribers would be willing to pay <$10/month, and 26% would pay >$20/month."

^ Can anybody translate that for those of us who don't know jack about stocks? :b

I wonder how many of you all actually know someone that's trans. Seems like the only insight you get into the lives of a trans person comes from whatever news you like. It's easy to dehumanize someone when all you hear about them is that they're mentally unwell and are coming for your kids.

The woke crowd made the mistake of poking the bear. Now DIS, ABV, TGT, Subway, et al are paying the price.

Billions lost catering to a small minority.

Our kids/grandkids will learn about these mistakes when they work on case studies at Gatton lol.

Aren't you busy being worried about fast food chicken that isn't available on Sunday.

Anyway, market dictates demand. Nobody really took down bud light, they turned themselves into a punchline. Was funny tho team woke ended up turning on them for not having their back enough...lol.

Also, craft beet sucks. Take off your fedora.

In this country it's less than that. Globally it's probably less than 1%.

I had Chick-fil-A a few days ago and it was quite tasty. I thought the whole Bud Light stance was as weak as you can get. Either make a stance or don't, but don't flip flop once you've picked a side. Also, I find fedoras to be corny

I disagree. History shows us people forget and move on. And money talks. When it becomes a cheaper option than others, people will buy it. Particularly as more time passes. However, they did manage to piss off both sides, so they could be an anomaly.

Again, though, as I pointed out, many other companies have done the same and seen major increases in sales. So I am not sure what pendulum is swinging. Sounds like if you just pick a side, you will guarantee yourself at least 50% support.

People don't always buy the cheaper option. Most people won't until they are desperate to buy anything and the cheaper option is all they can afford. To MOST people cheaper means inferior. Doesn't mean that's automatically correct, but it does mean that "history shows" comment is bullsht.

BudLight has lost money and won't likely get much of their market share in sales back, AND they pissed off the ragers in the letters community from which they wanted to capture sales.

"History shows us" you want to market your product, rather than tie it to a person, ideology, or lifestyle that people may find offensive. The company did what they did, as many companies have, because the banking cartel is forcing them to do so to keep their leveraged businesses afloat. Read up on the WEF and what they are doing to force political and lifestyle messaging into their member banks' clients' policies.

If they didn't dress the female reporters like street walkers it wouldnt have even been a issue if his hand slipped a bit. Funny the same people don't have problems with Joe Biden ? I'm not a Jalen Rose fan but if they had women in the same style of attire as the men their armpits wouldn't be exposed.
