NN loses to Neuqua 35-20 ... despite a few mistakes, the Huskies were down just 21-14 with the ball inside Neuqua territory (30 yardline) at the end of the 3rd qr., but the NV defense held. The Wildcats then proceeded to put the game away in the 4th. NN needed to play mistake free to win. Neuqua still has to play GN, a 34-7 winner over WN. WWS gets their first win, knocking off WV 39-32. Lots of football left, no time to feel sorry for ourselves.

Don't worry NNfan - in two weeks you will have WV to kick around and run for 250+ yards against unless some changes are made between now and the WV/NN game....

Neuqua's D was the difference in the game. They are playing at a pretty high level. The DBs have gotten progressively better as the season has gone on. Add that to the stud LB corp and a good DL and it's a tough ask to score on them.
North had some real momentum in the 3rd quarter. Their D really played well for the first couple of Neuqua possessions in the second half. That stop on 4th down by the Neuqua D changed the momentum.
