Apparently, Beamer is the best we can do. Our fans actually believe that. For a fan base that has thrived almost exclusively on hope, it seems it's finally been broken. The fans no longer even hope to be good. It has been accepted that there's not a single attainable coach in all of American football who could do better.

I think the holdouts are people who keep looking to last year, and thinking how close we were to the playoffs.

I've said before, last year earned him some goodwill. That part cant be ignored.

We were really only close to the playoffs in some of our own fans minds. No 3 loss team is going to be in the playoff.

Agreed completely. We were as close to turning the LSU game into a W (and making the playoffs) as we were turning the ODU game into a loss. Imo
