Any insights on the upcoming season and/ot current state of the program you can share?

TIA!
I know they’re really excited and think there’s a ton of talent. I’m excited to see if we can finally make a run at the top of the conference as I really think we can if we get things rolling. We’ll see how the new kids fit in with chemistry but there’s a lot of talent there.

Great to hear. It seems like they really hit a homerun with Greenspan. He is building a solid foundation. Hope we can keep him around.

Greenspan has 7 transfers coming to bolster the roster. Is this the year NU Baseball finally breaks out?

Is this an indication that we are trying to be in BB for real and actually compete for a change? Is it an indication that we are funding scholarships?

You know it really all comes down to pitching though - especially to make a move to the Upper part of the B1G, you need to throw a competitive starter each day during the weekend. Had some hopes for that at the beginning of last year, but injuries bit us and it took a lot of duct tape and spit to grind through the season. I mean, we actually won a game in every series I believe. But we couldn't sweep any and lost the Sat/Sun combo too often at the end.

Anyway, what have we heard about the pitching so far? And agreed, Greenspan was an amazing hire. I hope he stays for awhile.

Perhaps the only thing Gragg did right.

I’m fairly certain Gragg had absolutely nothing to do with the Greenspan hire. A small committee from the BOT was mostly responsible. After the horrific baseball hire the first time around, they would’nt let Gragg near this process with a ten foot pole.
