The press can be effective, but I had really thought we had finally figured a way to augment the press by adding a little something in both half court offense and defense. It now seem that if the press does not work, the half court defense doesn't rattle the opposition much and a majority of the last 4 games the half-court offense has looked flat out ugly. So it looks like against decent teams WVU is still very much live by the press and die (quite ugly at times) by the press. Hopefully we can either find a way to make the press work against more teams or more consistently play in half court. Even the game today despite the great last 5-7 minutes for WVU, it still wasn't quite enough to overcome the hole dug by that bucket scarcity to start the first half.

Without a doubt. It looks like we are lost with the ball in our hands in the half court and we force bad passes or make mental mistakes (walking while in the post).
