Grimsley should be favored. I haven't seen Indy since their glory years under Tommy Knotts. Any thoughts?

Independence at Grimsley

Should be a great game. Indy has a defense, unlike what we saw tonight with Catholic. Indy also has more speed compared to Catholic. Should be a dandy.
I don't put a ton of stock into that, it was by a point and would be 8 weeks from next friday.
Indy is really balanced with the run and pass with speed. This will be a good game.
Indy was beating Catholic much like Grimsley did. Then Indy made a few mistakes (Turnovers and penalties) that Grimsley did not. Without those mistakes, Indy Vs. Grimsley dead even.
Sorry, Charlotte but I think East Forsyth and Grimsley are the two best teams in 4A this year. Grimsley will handle Independence.
I don’t know a lot about Grimsley, but I liked the chances of EF, over a month ago. No dominating teams on both sides of the ball in Charlotte this year. Indy vs Grimsley should be an interesting game. Don’t be sorry, it’ll be ok.
Charlotte is not short on dominating NC, I believe we’ll be ok for a year.

Not so much Grimsley, but I’ve had my eye on EF since they handled Rolesville. So it’s no surprise they’re up there. You could tell all season Charlotte was a little down this year. On the other hand, Grimsley can’t sleep on Independence. They’ve gotten better and better as the season went on. Chambers was a little down having lost some talent and the coaching change. Butler is kind of silently hanging around. To me though EF/Hough is the game of the playoffs right now. That game will tell us a lot. It wouldn’t be a shocker to me though if either Grimsley or EF represented the west.
Doubtful the crowd takes up much space at The Bobby J.

@PagePirates44 and any Charlotte guys what can you tell us about Indy? Strengths, weaknesses, what players to look out for?
Well its hard to say who a player to look out for is, they have such a balanced attack, with no true standout player or guy they rely on the most. If you check out their maxpreps stats, they have 10 guys who average 40+ all purpose yards per game. But If I had to pick..

#3 MLB Josh Iseah is their leading tackler and TFL leader, 2 INTs, 7 PD, 3.5 sacks, 3 FF.

Independence is playing competitive ball in mid-November. McFadden has done an amazing job turning that program around and quickly. I believe that their QB is either a freshman or sophomore. Get that defense together and they’re gonna be a problem-problem.
Congrats to Grimsley. Indy a year away, nearly every single player is a sophomore or junior. They will be one of the best in state next year (provided they don't all suddenly move to Corneilus and become Huskeys!).
