Gotta give Pope some credit tonight. IU didn't have a lot of good looks from 3.

IU's coach is definitely going to rip into his players for taking some bad 3 point shots. It was amazing the shots that IU would jack up on possessions very early in the clock. Like, Steph Curry isn't playing there in Bloomington but all the kids think they are him these days.

Who is the troll in here that said at halftime. I wish Lowe would leave and never come back? Show you're face clown
I said it, I meant it then and I mean it now. He’s had one good half this season, IMO. If that’s good enough for you, I’ll just leave it there… have a good day.

This win was big. We need to figure out something else on the offensive end for St. Johns. Rebounds will not come as easily in that one.

Fat boy Devries and his daddy can suck it.
He negotiated a contract with IUSED2BE at that Thanksgiving tournament last year. WVU beat IUSED2BE. The fat boy scored 20 plus. Very next day against loserville fat boy was mysteriously injured and didn't play again the rest of the year for WVU. Players from that WVU team last year came out publicity after the year and said it was a fake injury. F that quitter

I hope he’s amazing I really do. I still think he has some deficiencies that I don’t like and he’s not 100%. That’s my main concern but we are infinitely better with a real PG on the floor.
I don’t think he’s all that great. But Aberdeen is so damned bad, I think Lowe might be the biggest difference maker.

Loved seeing a few things counter to Pope's offense normal tendencies:

Forcing turnovers
Grabbing offensive boards
Getting to the line

We mogged them Calipari style lol

Avoiding the halfcourt with Aberdeen/Chandler handling helped immensely. Oweh/Williams/Mo were overpowering on the wing.

Good lord. 1.16 PPP. Oof. Damned glad to have a win, but that’s awful. Defense pulled the load in the second half.

Guys who have thousands or hundreds of posts on here. Aren't trolls. Just fans with different views than you. sub 90 IQ.
Speak for yourself. Post count doesn't make you right. I have no problem with people saying the kids cant shoot, that someone didnt give an effort, that Pope isnt doing a good enough job running half court offense...but the flat out dogging out players, name calling, pretending Pope did a crap job last year, pretending the injuries aren't hurting us, calling for Popes head after eight games...yeah, I am going to challenge that crap

I agree, I have no idea how he shot 41% from 3 on the number of shots he took last year.
Evidently he got a ton of free looks in the AAC. Hell, I’d bet he’d struggle to get to 50% in practice drills with that motion. Hoping he figures it out, but man I don’t have much faith in that.

he has been off for 7 games now. shooting 30% from three over that span. largely doesnt do anything and gets cooked and fouls a ton on defense. but he is everyones favorite for some reason....wonder why?

Ooooh. Do tell. I'm sure this will be LOADED with wisdom.

No ish. I hate that crap. We're no where near where we should be but that was a nice damn feel good win.
Nobody's really dogging anybody out the fact that he felt the need that he had to say that just shows he's an idiot. Will say this much no one should give up on his team so early in the season especially when their point guard was out and Moe was out and JQ was out. They still have a long way to go at this was just a step but a very important step.

St John’s will drag the team that just beat Indiana. Not because St John’s is all that good. This team just beat a not very good team that played poorly and without their leading scorer for most of the second half. Always glad to get a W, especially this year. But this isn’t the start of anything in my mind. But it’s a W, which is a helluva lot better than the alternative.

Let's be honest. They quit in a couple of those games. But that's in the past. Gotta keep winning.

Tonight was about pride. And I loved it.

I think the starters vs SJ should be Lowe, Oweh, Mo, Kam and Moreno. Chandler, DA and Garrison and not much else. Obviously, start JQ when he gets back. Not a lot of 3 point shooting there, but we could start our five best three point shooters and still not be a good shooting team. Embrace defense, running and playing fast. Play to our strengths

Lotta truth in this post. Spot on if you ask me.
