They make Black Label any longer? Remember back in the late 80's a Beer/Liquor store between my house and Dewey Dam. I recall the owner there got several cases of Black Label and no body wanted them. I bought them all at a very good price. Not sure what it was about Black Label beer people did not like.
It's funny how he was always so overly positive and then went nuts after the cheaters beat us.Bashed the team and called Green a midget that couldn't win anything.

Swoosh left when the Rivals split happened. He went with the other site. I don't have a premium membership there anymore so I don't know if he is still there. Was a nasty POS to me a couple of times when I was a mod here.

You have NO idea. I stopped being a mod because I couldn't deal with some of the batshit crazy stuff I got in emails and private messages.

This is such a great thread. Didn't read every post, maybe he's already been mentioned, but does anyone remember runninramel, or something like that?
Really interesting thread. I've been on here a long time and I had forgotten so many of those posters. I'm more of a lurker now and really only lurk about twice a month.
Had a few run-ins....posted that Darius Rice gave verbal to Tubby, then I went out of town to watch a UK football game. Came back and I was getting slammed because he never verballed to UK. But then Tubby came out and said he did verbal to him while on his visit.
Also, a good friend of mine was at one time on the UofL football staff and I asked him how much time UofL prepares for UK. He said they spend 1/3 of their time for UK, 1/3 for non-conference and 1/3 for conference. Some called me out on it. It's a message board, you can either believe me or not, doesn't matter to me. Especially as I have gotten older.
Really interesting stuff from Brian Poe, I remember when all of that happened but didn't know a lot of details. Sorry all that happened to you Brian, but probably a great learning and character experience for you!
What about the guy who would ask if shaving lotion worked? That kid was a mess!
Also what about UKfanincincy? Really nice guy, I think he owned a gas station next to Kings Island.

I thought that DD guy was some other dude who worked at a factory in Shelbyville and would post weird videos of himself mowing his yard

LOL, I have no idea but someone who was a mod on one of the old sites, and I thought it was him, invited me to join their new site. Just can’t remember the name.
Not sure if you are talking basketball or football, but I clearly remember Bobby Petrino on Tony Cruise's nightly sports show on WHAS - which tells you how long ago that was - saying UofL devoted a substantial portion of their season (as in most of spring and some of fall camp) focusing on the UK game. Which at the time was the first game of the season. Pretty telling admission. Of course, at the time they were in CUSA (??), so they could afford to put that much time into one game....
Some ppl have a lot of free time in the offseason. Quality poster nonetheless

Also, the new board layout is 100x better than the old. At first i HATED the new layout but after about 2 weeks I couldn’t imagine going back
Yeah, @Steelers2012 ... he actually had quite a few people in here fooled into thinking he was a “nice UL” fan... he’d be all nicey-nice (yet subtly passive aggressive ) about UK on our board but then would run back to his board and daddy @zipp to make fun of us and bash us.

back in the Rainman days - I bet John _Blue would remember, there was an older guy, a real curmudgeon, and he went by his real name. He hated me with a passion and whenever he'd get pissed at me, he'd say I wasn't a credible person because I didn't use my real name on a message board. Unfortunately he died around 2005ish I think.
I think about him alot because I've pretty much turned into an old curmudgeon now too. I wish I could remember his name. I respected the guy.
When I first started posting, I really disliked Rainman and his mods, but they were pretty upfront in the fact that their board was a UK support board and they weren't interested in debate that included criticism of the coach (Tubby) or the players. It was their board, their rules and I had to accept it. It was hard though because you'd have a giant turd like Smokey Pearl spouting his nonsense and couldn't go after him because he was saying the "right" things.
Took getting tossed a couple of times to get used to it, plus we still had CNNSI for a few days. CNNSI would get 15,000 posts in a 2 days for various sports fans which all kind of resided under one roof. It was amazing. I was never more passionate about UK basketball, because you had to constantly defend it, while you were on the attack of UNC/Duke/IU and Louisville. A few other schools had fans but mostly those. Some people loved it, but I also remember people asking about a board dedicated to Kentucky and us sending them to Rainman's board. but the downside for me was coming over to Rainman's site, it felt so restrictive - you kind of craved that confrontational no rules posting.
Now you have people screaming troll every 5 minutes on here whenever they read something they don't like.
