When I joined TCCAT was the guy everyone trusted. I don't know if anyone remembers the Taco Bell night, where he predicted Morris, Rondo and Crawford accurately. Smokey Pearl was always good for entertainment. I actually am still friends Christian Cat on most social media sites. Actually ended up being a pretty cool dude. Rain man was the head moderator when I joined. Back when this site was Kentucky Sports Report/CatsPause it was the only UK site worth reading for a while.

Yeah i go back to Rainman days too..

How about SmokeyPearl who later became known as BoilerMax? He was a very knowledgeable poster in regard to Kentucky history. But he didn't play well with others and wore his feelings on his sleeve, and got kicked off multiple times.

I'm not positive, but SmokeyPearl may have been one of the first few that mentioned, "silent verbal".

What happened to Brian Boone? I miss his Swedish soccer babe in his sig

I think Boone sort of disappeared after the Micheal Porter arrest. He was on the side that the girls weren't completely innocent victims and, as you can imagine, that just ignited a huge fire storm and ensuing argument even though his comments were taken a little out of context. He didn't post much after that and just kind of has quietly slipped away.

One I haven't seen in a while is Petjurino. Guess Mommy cut the internet to the basement.

I go all the way back to CNNSI... which everyone that knows message boards knows that was the greatest time in the history of message boards. They had to shut the place down it was so out of control once everyone started picking on the Iranian soccer fans.

One of the first things I ever did on a message board was make fun of Rainman, Keith (or Kevin or whatever his name was), and that little group they had that tried to control me. I did not see the internet as a place to be controlled or lectured to. Wound up finding a home on CNNSI and those were epic times.

Who was the kid that posted during the BCG years that always talked about how good he was. It seems he even posted you tube video's and he was horrible. I was never sure if he was serious or trolling.

"How about SmokeyPearl who later became known as BoilerMax? He was a very knowledgeable poster in regard to Kentucky history. But he didn't play well with others and wore his feelings on his sleeve, and got kicked off multiple times."

This assclown was trying to threaten to go to the NCAA with some 'inside info' that would bring UK down... he flipped out over something, said he was friends with Erik Daniels' family and had proof to land us on probation.

So of course, I called him out on multiple boards.... ran into him on the Loserville board, found out he was a big fan of Bob Huggins, so I divulged some of the 'scoop' I had on the Huggins being fired from UC story. He went nuclear on their board and got himself banned. The last time I ever ran into him was on the Dook board.... still being a stat-sprewing goober.

As for posters that were here with funny names that alone made me laugh, I haven't seen any posts for awhile from:

  • Big Fattie
  • ShakesTheClown
  • RUSeriousClark?
  • Pygmy Sasquatch
  • Throat Poaker

....and if anyone doesn't see who CUT NETS really is.... CatPhight has a great picture of him.

what was the guy's name that was saying Durant and a few others were coming
i think his name was greghoover

Haven't looked at the other thread but surprised no one here has mentioned "Greg Hoover", he of the infamous Darius Rice recruitment!

I remember a post by Hoover I think it was that predicted the commitments Willie Kemp, Thaddeus Young, Deon Thomas, and Branden Wright.
He just listed their initials something like this...

W
Y
K
T

Loved those "scoops." "Guys, I'm not going to say who we're getting, but

W
Y
K"

First time I've posted since just at the start of BCG 2nd season. Use to post a lot here and Back in the Eric's Wildcatcats Place(EWP). I was really hating on BG enough to get kicked off pretty much every UK board Thunder still won't let me back. Loved my time posting with BWO who is the man to me. Oh, and Don was a Icon like a Kieghtly on the MBs.

Back during the coaching search after Tubbly left, I can't remember if it was "BlueSuave," or "SeekingTheGold," that became the "done deal" posters in regards to Billy Donovan possibly being hired as his replacement? I haven't seem them in a while it seems.

Lmdcat seems to have vanished, but I doubt he's gone for good. No doubt he will pop back next season the first sign of trouble. There was another guy who I always thought was actually a UL fan, but I don't remember the username. Been a few years since I think he's posted.

that's right,i remembered after i logged off this morning
Still, you calling Magliore52 "Mark Maggard" will stick nicely in Jones' craw when one of his minions rushes to tell him that. I would enjoy the look on his face when that happens. Sort of a mixture of smelling poop and being told your wife has herpes, I would imagine.

Anybody remember wakeupky?

I thought I was a pretty big critic of Tubby, but I was an amateur compared to that guy.

He scared me. [winking]
Oh, I absolutely remember him.

Dep, during the LOD vs Tubby SFs era, I was frequently amused at some of the threads you would start. Generally fairly passive-agressive in nature. I always imagined you leaning back in your chair and laughing at the firestorm that ensued. You just had a knack for it.
