I definitely remember him after... it was only once we started killing recruiting and making deep tournament runs that he cooled off.

Remember, many people, fans included, were skeptical of Kentucky hiring Cal. Some people thought we'd be vacating wins immediately and some wondered if he could hack it at a top program. So tons of haters stuck around with thoughts like "He'll get them in trouble before the turn of the decade" and "Freshman can't win titles"..

Looking back, could it have gone ANY better? I'd say we missed the mark in 2014 and 2015 with grabbing the title, but that's the nature of the sport. Four Final fours and a title in 7 years, while dealing with the Kanter screw-job, Selection Committee garbage, and the worst injuries of any school over that stretch.

10 out of 10 in my book. And that's why guys like NCAAU jumped ship..

This assclown was trying to threaten to go to the NCAA with some 'inside info' that would bring UK down... he flipped out over something, said he was friends with Erik Daniels' family and had proof to land us on probation.

So of course, I called him out on multiple boards.... ran into him on the Loserville board, found out he was a big fan of Bob Huggins, so I divulged some of the 'scoop' I had on the Huggins being fired from UC story. He went nuclear on their board and got himself banned. The last time I ever ran into him was on the Dook board.... still being a stat-sprewing goober.

As for posters that were here with funny names that alone made me laugh, I haven't seen any posts for awhile from:

I had like 700 posts but one day I logged in & they were all gone, lol. But, most of those posts came in the last couple years of Tubby's tenure. Definitely the most entertaining, rant inducing era for me on this board, going back to around 1999. Who was the guy claiming to be Kelenna Azubuike? Was it bluekel24 or something similar? I go all the way back to CNNSI... which everyone that knows message boards knows that was the greatest time in the history of message boards. They had to shut the place down it was so out of control once everyone started picking on the Iranian soccer fans.

One of the first things I ever did on a message board was make fun of Rainman, Keith (or Kevin or whatever his name was), and that little group they had that tried to control me. I did not see the internet as a place to be controlled or lectured to. Wound up finding a home on CNNSI and those were epic times.

That was some fun stuff. Whatever happened to Johnny Ryall? He's the guy who used to talk about this other board called Wildcatchat. I decided to check it out one day and that was Rainman's original board.
