... yet barely a peep about it from local media...
Greg Brown to Mizzou, Terrell Buckley to Miss State

Very good recruiter....Buckley gets to go back home-(from Missisippi) and gets probably a raise at a very good SEC School

Was he your lead recruiter like Marrow is for UK?

Do you all have replacements lined up yet? Louisville's backs have been pretty damn good the past few seasons.

I bet there is not a FB coach in the country who does not want to coach in the SEC at some point in their career. If UL had not opened up the check for Grantham, he would be gone as well.

Not really but he was right there with LD Scott IMO as our best recruiters..those two IMO 1 & 1a..too early to tell who will be his and Greg Brown replacement.

Surprised ul did not up the pay for buckley. Being the richest ath dept in America you would think this wouldn't happen unless Bob wanted them out.

This was a chance for Buckley to go back home...plus Buckley played over a decade in the NFL to go with a Super Bowl with the Patriots...word is this was not $$$ issue.

Man I wish Grantham would have gone as well. Very good defensive coordinator. I guess now that Louisville is in a real football conference (even if it's the worst power 5) they are an attractive place.

It's more attractive than it was when it was a midmajor, anyway. I'll give it that much.

It is a much more attractive place since word got out that they accept any kind of transfer or criminal if he can play, and that they can get away with a lot more at Transfer U than anywhere else.

UK toward the bottom of the list in those categories, besides they can pay them more legally------although that probably isn't a big problem.

I know Buckley was highly regarded because of his recruiting, but I was not impressed with our secondary. We lost Gaines and Holliman, but Clemson and FSU had a lot of success opening the run with the pass. JHC is not a cover safety and Washington was getting worked most of the year. I think Petrino will be looking to hire a technique guy who can put our smallish corners in better position. Wiggins gets by on athleticism, we wont reach our goals with that type of coverage. I would look for a corner and safety coach who can bring in talent but can get guys in better position fundamentally.

Was he just tired of dealing with Grantham? Heard some of the staff and parents don't like him at all.

MSU does not have a QB in this class. I know State fans like their backup his year and think he will be great, but if State could steal Pass from UL, he probably would excel in the offense Prescott ran for the past few years.

I hate posts like this, always reads like sour grapes because they keep kicking our tail. Man up and admit they have a better program right and hope that our leadership does something to correct it. Just don't make excuses, makes us sound like a bunch of ***'s.

According to this article, Buckley may go after UL's top recruit who is from Mississippi. Also wasn't Brown's title Recruiting Coordinator. It will be interesting to see what happens to their 2016 class of DBs.

http://www.courier-journal.com/stor...1/07/u-ls-buckley-headed-miss-state/78423132/

The CJ is late as usual....Green is still very solid...Thomas is somewhat shaky...as for Pass...Buckley wasn't his recruiter that was LD Scott...plus again it helps that Pass brother is on Louisville roster and should see plenty of playing time next year at Safety. Also, this is happening all across the nation...even yesterday Michigan lost one of their assistants to USC.

As far as running recruiting...the main person really is more likely former NFL Scout Dave Boller:

I'd love for someone to flip Pass from UL last minute

but on the other side, I'd love for him to show up & causing their program to implode like the Kyler Murray/Kyle Allen situation did at Texas A&M. Ain't easy keeping 2 elite young quarterbacks who both expect to not only play, but start, happy.

Don't think mom going to allow it....as for aTm that more on Sumlin not being straight forward with his players...and with LJ style wouldn't be surprise if Pass plays next year.

On a side note Kyle Allen the 5* QB that left aTm is going to Houston...no real reason for Tom Herman to leave them...that G5 school is recruiting and bringing in 4 and 5 Star Players.

Georgia ran Grantham out of town. They were quite glad Louisville took him off their hands.

Kicking our tail??? That's a bit of a stretch to categorize the last 2 games against UL as an azz kicking.

I was impressed UL got the DB commits out of Mississippi.

Those kids are notoriously fickle about leaving their home state.

That dynamic would probably make me nervous until the signature came in, but no more so than some of our recruits (in the past) for varying reasons.

It's nice to see that you have all your bases covered so that no matter what happens, it's negative for UL.

Because we all know that Petrino is as honest and straightforward as they come. (ROLLING EYES)

Apparently more straight forward than Sumlin...Petrino with all his faults never had those type of issues as with what is going on at aTm

What excuses? And our leadership has a lot to do with our falling behind, not just in not recruiting criminals but anyone else that has any faults at all, and kicking Tubman out and the COA fiasco are just two more examples. I was thoroughly opposed to hiring BP here, he should be in jail, but UK is the biggest scaredy cat in the nation about the incompetent NCAA while other schools like UL are getting away with murder.

BP had serious problems recruiting elsewhere, after having TWO great seasons at Arkansas AND them starting a FOUR HUNDRED MILLION dollar athletics facilities upgrade he had TWO four star commits in his last two classes there, and that was before his troubles surfaced.

His one year at WKU he also had THIRTY TWO commits, but only THREE were THREE stars, that is TWENTY NINE two stars in one class

I didn't give excuses, I gave reasons, reading comprehension is your friend.

As should anyone that cares about the image they give of our state or that cares anything about integrity. The NCAA is a joke.

Just win baby, two adulterers and abortionists (among other things) running their teams with the biggest cheater in history just run off by the NCAA and their fans seem to totally endorse it. Jurich and amateur athletics in the same sentence is a joke.
