He states the Dem party has moved very far to the left and has no message other than identity politics. He won't admit who he voted for but he did say he did not endorse Hillary. He seems like a rational person.
I do have one quibble with the interview. I think Chuck Todd jumps in and claims both parties have moved too far or the moderates have been hollowed out (Dems left and GOP right). I disagree. If anything Trump's ascension has moved the GOP slightly to the left, certainly on trade, infrastructure spending and Social Security and Medicare. The Tea Party goals were the very same as Reagan's.
I also think the Dems have a smaller number of moderates than the GOP but they exist (mostly red state Senators) like Manchin and Heitcamp. Short video and worth a look. It seems like Webb is no longer a democrat, but I admittedly am reading between the lines.
