I was at the Army v Eastern Michigan game. One of the best Army games ever. Dramatic goal line stand with seconds to go. EM opted to win with a 2 point conversion instead of tying with a kick. They failed to score but EM coach had called TO just before play so they got a second chance. EM audibled to an outside run. Army tackler hit runner as he leaped and sent him into a flip about mere inches from goal. Very rare for Army to win a squeaker with a goal line stand.

Some other scores that caught my eye:
OSU hangs 56 on Nebraska. We can empathize.
Ok State 59 Baylor 16. I don't think Baylor has bottomed out yet.
UCF 63 ECU 21. UCF could go from 0-12 to 14-0 in just two years.
USF 33 Cincy 3. Nobody's laughing at Willie Taggart and his bus now.
Iowa State 45 Kansas nil. We need Kansas to keep sucking for one more year.
Miss State 35 BYU 10. Raise your hand if you knew BYU was 1-6. I didn't.
Ole Miss 57 Vandy 35. When your oppo is not Alabama (or Ohio State) you tend to look better.

Utah was owning USC at the half, but game totally flipped second half. Utah lost on a failed 2-pt conversion, which woulda given them a 1 pt lead with 50 seconds or so on the clock. Liked the call on the road, good game.

That have nothing to do with us, but I find interesting.
Memphis over Navy
BC beats Louisville
Army bests Eastern Mich
UConn defeats Temple
Tulsa over Houston

I remember a few Temple fans coming over here and trashing us in the off-season with me shaking my head and saying, ‘wait, you think you’ve *arrived* and are now bulletproof? You haven’t seen anything yet. No one cares about you winning the AAC and going to the same bowl game you did for finishing 3rd in the MAC. People don’t see Temple as a winner; they see *Rhule* as a winner. Like any non-blue blood, you’re one bad hire away from falling off the edge of the cliff.” Still plenty of football left but it doesn’t seem like we’re going to hear much from the West side of the Ben Franklin Bridge at this point...

LSU over #10 Auburn

3 top 10s go bye-bye
That game flipped on a dime. Auburn ran over them up like 20-0 to start that game. Their fans were going crazy Aranda sucks, Canada Sucks, Orgeron sucks (I actually think he does suck lol and typical fan reaction as I've said not just us). Then their young, but talented, defense finally came around all of sudden and put the screws on Auburn's offense. They couldn't run or throw much on them.

There were a lot of close tight games yesterday afternoon with LSU/Auburn, Miami/GT, OU/Texas, Purdue/Wisconsin. Didn't see the last one but was flipping around the other 3 and they were all fun to watch. Good weekend of college football with our win, some nice upsets and close games.

The SEC is ridiculously weak this year.
Yet the talking Heads at ESPiN keep saying the SEC will get two teams in. I guess they forgot to look at the B1G East and Wisconsin. I personally don't think any conference will get more than one team in, but the SEC is weak compared to the B1G.

OHIO ST is doing exactly what they did a few years ago when they won it all, almost a carbon copy without two QB's

If Barrett stays healthy, they win the NC

I agree, whatever the problem was, it’s been fixed.

The amazing thing is that Rhule is almost like their Schiano in that many of their fans give the guy no credit and said they basically won in spite of him.

aTm took down Florida, 19 - 17. The torches and pitchforks are being gathered in Gainesville; Jim McElwain might want to raise the drawbridge and start melting lead.

I still would want to see how they do against PSU/MSU/Michigan. After OU they've been running over roadkill teams. When the competition steps up I'd like to see how they perform. They may have gathered enough momentum to keep going but I want to see it. They will be getting PSU after Michigan and OSU off a bye too so it sets up nicely for them.

I think OSU beats Mich and Mich St fairly comfortably. Penn St on the other hand should be a tough game. More importantly for me are some Rutgers wins and ND & BC losses.

It's not a big year for the SEC, but the B1G outside of Ohio State and Penn State is not exactly vintage this year. Wisconsin has a typical good, solid Wisconsin team. Both Michigan and Michigan State are offensively challenged. The West outside of Wisconsin has been mediocre, with only Purdue showing real improvement this season. Maryland has no defense and is down to its third-string QB, Indiana is simply a hard-luck team and you Rutgers fans know of your own problems only too well. This is going to sound ridiculous, but I attended the Northwestern-Penn State game and thought it was one of the most unimpressive 31-7 beatings I've ever seen. The Penn State defense is very good, and NU's inept play and play-calling made it look even better, but the PSU o-line is very suspect. Barkley was getting absolutely stoned for most of the game, and I believe Penn State had something like 2 yards rushing entering the fourth quarter. Barkley finally broke one when the NU defense got gassed from being on the field almost all the third quarter. They'll have trouble moving the ball against the Michigans and Ohio State unless they drastically improve their run blocking or change their scheme.

I think Penn State will beat Michigan next week and then they will get crushed by Ohio State. Ohio State wants payback for last year and they have a bye-week to prepare for them Ohio State is firing on all cylinders right now.
Agreed, OSU rolls over PSU

I was there as well. Great game. Quite surprised EMU opted to go for 2 in that spot. Army was not going to drive the field in 49 seconds and EMUs offense seemed to be going at will. I would’ve opted to kick the FG. But that’s just me

Happy for you guys; you all definitely deserve these last few seasons (I miss the RU-Army games a bit but don’t miss playing the triple-option). It’ll be good to see you land in the postseason again this year.

Penn State moves up to #2 in the country this week and after they abuse Michigan the Stage will be set for the double header of the century, OSU & Michigan State. If, and trust me it's a big if they win both games Franklin plays 2nd and 3rd string the rest of the way and this will pay tremendous dividends in years to come.

EM coach said they had decided in advance that they would go for two if game was close at the end. Army was running and scoring great, and EM was on fire passing to Bailey (#2). EM should have passed again. Running an option pitch vs an option team wouldn't have been my first choice. Coach Monken was a bit PO'ed at the last second time out to get EM a second chance after Army had already cheered a win. He was tossing the furniture just before the Alma Mater

My brother is a Michigan fan, and he thinks they're nowhere as good as they were last season.
Because PSU sucks. Real Rutgers fans don't let their kids go to PSU. A volcano erupting from the middle of Happy Valley wouldn't be a bad thing. James Franklin being kidnapped by pirates and turned into their personal serving wench wouldn't be a bad thing.
Just remember what's important:
