Since the Vandy game, Chandler has averaged double digit minutes in all games but 1, the OU game, which was the last game in which Jax Rob played (12 mins).

During that span, he is shooting 41% from 3pt range.

I knew he'd been playing better, but I didn't realize his perimeter shooting had improved so much.

So, having him, Brea, and Almonor all shooting above 40% as well as Butler with a respectable 37% still should allow for good floor spacing.

Good to have him shooting well from 3 but he has to cut down on the ridiculous turnovers. He had several really bad ones against Bama in the last game that allowed them to stretch the game out. Probably just needs more time to knock the rust off.

And I'd add his presence in the lineup over Perry has been a part of our defensive numbers improving the last 10 games of season as well.
This. I still have hope Perry can be a great role player his Jr/Sr season. But Chandler is a big reason we took a leap in the Defensive Efficiency numbers.

Williams, Carr, Oweh, Brea, Butler getting 27+ minutes with Chandler as the first backcourt guy off the bench and AA/Garrison giving necessary breathers to the bigs. That’s our best shot at a F4.

Noah is serviceable as Chandlers and AAs backup if foul trouble shows its face

He’s been in the Kentucky system for 7 months now. Plenty of time to “knock the rust off”.
He needs to take better care of the ball going forward.

Chandler was propped up by Pope as a bit of a defensive stopper midway through our conference season, but he still has a loooooong way to go to consistently keep his man in front of him.
He kept playing a weird angle against Sears and Sears just kept driving straight to the rim. Just drove me crazy. Just stay right in front of your man.

This team even with injuries is sweet 16 good. If we can get some shots to fall again for Noah, Perry, Almonor in their spot minutes we can still beat just about anyone in the country. Noah seems like he has been ice cold ever since that hot start. He gives you hustle minutes to if he could just get his shot to fall again he would be a very useful piece.

The dance has always been for guards. Whether scorers, shooters, passers, defenders or any combination.

Specifically experienced guards and guards who a hitting a rhythm.

Early season and conference is for everyone else. Bigs, athletes, OADs…

Save exceptional generational talent here and there, teams that make runs do so in large part because of back court play and leadership.

We have pretty good guards.

The key with Almenor is for him to hit a shot quick once he's been put into the game. Then he seems to really get engaged and looks for open shots. If he doesn't, he just disappears.

You can bet Trent is on every coaches scouting report since the UT game.
His 11pts were instrumental in pulling that upset.
He's not going to be overlooked.

Kid needs to take a little pepper of his passes. A couple of his turnovers have been lasers that ricocheted off of people’s hands because they were straight bullets.

Almonor is good when he gets mins and is on. He hasn't got a lot of run of late though. Our best chance to make a run is these guys shooting well from 3. We weren't beating bama regardless but the 3 point shooting wasn't good enough to compete.

All valid points I agree with... as @K_TIME stated, Chandler has definitely helped improve the defense, but I just hadn't noticed his improved shooting.

On offense, in addition to cutting down BAD turnovers, one additional thing I would add that he needs to stop is the weak reverse layup he has tried a few times this year. I feel like it has gotten blocked every time.

Not disagreeing with you, but if the ball hits you in the hands you need to catch it. Chandler is one of those guys that you need to be alert and ready for a pass when the ball is in his hands.

agree... I intially thought his one pass to Amari that led to a TO was on Chandler. However, on the replay, the pass was perfect, but Amari took his eyes off the ball just as it was arriving, and it slipped thru and resulting in a fast break for Bama.

He was trying to make ZIP passes to Amari at his knees while moving toward the basket!!!

That is a definite NO NO!!!

He just needs to do the SIMPLE things with his ability and he will be much more successful and help our team.

Yep. We tried icing those screens but he showed way too early. Even worse, his show gave up a straight line drive to sears left, which is his dominant hand. Really frustrating.

Hes fine guarding a sf but struggles on a pg. Not as bad as Perry, but still struggles. Want to see him better on the boards. Noah vastly outperforms there.

He does not need to drive

Just play some defense and make catch and shoot

This. Chandler is getting better but still tries to do way too much on O. Just play your role and shoot when open.
