Interstate 8 Week Four Recap

Played out mostly how I thought it would.......Some of the games were closer (or more lopsided) than I predicted.....
Is Wilmo back to old form?

How will Sandwich recover?

RC showed some life. Was Herscher just sleeping in the second half or is RC on the rise?

Expected a bit more from CC but a win is a win.

Manteno's season is a disappointment. Thought they were a playoff team for sure.

Can't see Lisle losing a small game at this point and honestly could go undefeated in the regular season. Would have loved to see them on Friday. Sounded like a good ol' fashioned donnybrook! Week 9 game is at CC for what should be the overall I8 championship. That'll be a fun one to go watch.

It was a fun Friday for sure. Ptown/Lisle was a real barn burner. Ptown has a nice running game going, they really pound the rock and eat up clock (almost 18 minutes TOP in first half). Lisle had some big plays which ultimately were key to victory. Great game for sure. Another big game awaits Ptown in Wilmo this week. I can count on one hand how many times Ptown has beaten Wilmo over the last twenty years. Even when favored they have't gotten it done. Looking forward to Herscher/Lisle too! Another fun week ahead.

One point to make known.....RC coach Klein was at Herscher for several years after his stint as RC head coach. Now he returned as OC maybe? I know that was his role in Herscher. This could have been a factor in the close game this weekend. But either way they showed improvement!
