I just don't know when to quit sometimes and need someone to tell me. Thanks lincoln100.

No problem. Don't beat yourself up over it. It is easy to get drawn in, especially with him. You can't help but think to yourself "does this guy really not get it?" Next thing you know, you've wasted 15 minutes going back and forth with someone who has no interest in having a logical discussion.

Myself, I thought it was a good, honest interview. I appreciate hearing a coach get honest and specific about the prior years' shortcomings.
Was not what I was saying. I also appreciate hearing a coach get honest. Was discussing the back and forth about the difference between teaching and coaching. Was obviously not important or going anywhere. But they can carry on.

No worries. Was not directed to anyone, I probably need to learn to properly use the reply function on the board ;)

I kinda put the brakes on because of your post. Thanks for opening my eyes. I got sucked in more than I should have.

He enjoys engaging and diverting people with trivial semantics. It's just a game for him.

Please...Read the article before you respond. Engaging people? How many times in this thread alone did I get called out and told to respond?
You responded often. Just never to my question. That's ok though. With the help of others, I finally recognized your M. O. I'm a little slower than the rest.

Look at the thread. It's answered. Barry Switzer couldn't run the Air Raid because it would be new to him. He could run some plays from it but he couldn't teach something that was new to him. Riley and Langs couldn't teach the qb run game. It was new to them. They didn't understand the ins and outs of it. RILEY is the one who said it!
Switzer said they tried calling passes in practice but the receivers would break the huddle laughing and give away the play.

Ummmmm...teaching him what the blocking scheme is on designed runs. If the zone read is part of the run game, teaching him the ins and outs of the read. Teaching him what to look for on bootlegs. Teaching him what keys to look for when audibling into a qb run. Teaching him when to break the pocket...where to break the pocket...what to do once he breaks the pocket. It's not like you ignore the qb run game for a year and think our qb will be just fine when we go back to it..
I believe this post is what @timnsun has been questioning you about (I could be wrong though).
