Whatever. Life goes in cycles and it's our turn at the top.

LOL. This is not a "young" team. The vast majority of the minutes go to upperclassmen. They just aren't used to us taking them to the woodshed twice on a Sunday.

Can't stand the "Young and Douchy" Cats.
Wonder what they see as "douchy". You don't see a lot of strutting, preening, "Look at me!" childishness from our guys. We certainly don't have much of a reputation for cheap shots . . . . if they consider us "douchy", what did they consider Adam Woodbury and his Grayson Allen-esque stretch of poking guys in the eye? Fer Chrissakes . . . . .

Iowa fans thought they would come in and beat NU. Of course, there will be sour grapes. They forgot the OT loss to NU two years ago and the loss to NU in the Big 10 tourney theee years ago. Iowa fans had no clue that NU has a much more athletic and talented team. NU outplayed Iowa and turned them and dunked on them more than they have ever seen.

Those confused opinions were shown by BTN expert Stephen Bardo who still said that after a 35 point loss that Iowa at 11-8 is more of a team to watch after the top 3 teams in the Big 10 (UW, Purdue and Maryland) than NU. Oh boy does he love Tyler Cook. No love shown to Law, Lindsey or McIntosh. Are you kidding me? He is such an Illini homer that it shades his view of NU. Bottom line is that most Big 10 fans can not understand that there is a new winning culture at NU but they will soon enough.

This entire thread is full of "fake news"! One posters opinion is not the "Iowa board going crazy" and very few Iowa fans thought that Iowa would win last night. This team is very young and has shown the huge ups and downs that come from youth, especially on the road. Case in point, Iowa lost the BT opener at Purdue in similar fashion to last nights beat down and then some how beat Purdue Thursday night. Then heads out on the road and looks abysmal in Evanston.

You guys have a very good team that can even win the league if all falls into place as there really is no team that seems invincible this season. Sometimes, I think some of you have so much Iowa hate that you cannot look at these contests for what they are. Simply one team that is much more experienced and executing at a high level vs a young athletic team that had not learned how to get through the rigors of the conference season. Good luck and I would love to see the 'Cats' win the BT this year! One thing for certain is that you are going to the dance!

I think they associate Collins with duke which then many people associate with douchey. To the other Iowa fans point - I saw one post with very little traffic on the Iowa board saying this.

Thanks for the kind words, and it's probably fair to say that we don't like Iowa..

I'm pretty confident we are not a certain tournament team yet, we've screwed up sports things that look better than this before. A certain 38-3 MSU game. But our chances are looking a little bit better...

Big 10 leading scorer and team MVP for Iowa Peter Jok is a senior. NU will only lose Lumpkin and Taphorn next season and bring in talented 4-star forwards, Falzon and Ivanauskas and a talented frosh Anthony Gaines in next year. NU'S most talented player, Vic Law is a soph. Fake news? Too funny.
