It means that Northwestern beating Iowa would be an upset.Which at this point means 99 and 44/100% dick.
Lol! We’ll see.It means that Northwestern beating Iowa would be an upset.
Yes and no. The difference is that there are tests available for players who are non-symptomatic that with a positive result keep them from playing. No such tests existed for players with non symptomatic flu.If a team had so many players sick with the flu that they couldn't field enough guys to play, the game would be postponed. This is no different.

Remember how we praised that basketball icon Jordan who played while he was sick as a dog.
Thanks, Mr Iowa fan.KenPom has Iowa ranked 32 and Northwestern ranked 58.
Reminiscent of Duke beating UNLV in 1991. For sure.It means that Northwestern beating Iowa would be an upset.
Thank you for your concern, it is noted.Sounds like the Cats vs Badgers game on Saturday will also be postponed.
Hope your guys recover completely and quickly.
Any news on how many players have contracted this virus?
Hope it is not sweeping thru the student body.
We need rest anyways! Heal upMoving past the reference to COVID culture wars (RIP Rant Board), I agree that our society has largely resumed something close to normal life and accepted you have a baseline COVID risk when you go into a public place. The question is whether the conference should require asymptomatic players or guys with light symptoms to play. I would feel uncomfortable with that.
By "we", I think you mean the fanbase. We need rest anyways! Heal up
I think it depends on which guys are really sick or injured....Can anyone speculate when NU will make a decision about Saturdays game vs. Wisconsin? We're planning on driving down, but I have a feeling the game may be postponed. Well wishes to all the 'Cats who are battling health issues.
IA has an internal policy that they will forfeit the game if there are not more than 6 white boys in buzzcuts on the roster.
They can read? They are reading an outdated B1G COVID policy, which formerly did require forefeiture.
What NCAA tourney appearance was that that Carmody took them to again? 2017 several years after he left? This inspired me to run a test that made me feel momentarily better about my own future ...
Can you compare the coaching tenures of Bill Carmody and Chris Collins?
Bill Carmody and Chris Collins were both head coaches for the Northwestern University men's basketball team, but their tenures were quite different.
Carmody was the head coach from 2000-2013. During his tenure, he took the team to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history in 2017, and also won several NIT tournament appearances. He had a record of 248-206 in his 13 seasons at Northwestern.
Chris Collins took over as head coach in 2013 and led the team to their second NCAA tournament appearance in 2017, and also led the team to the NCAA tournament in 2021. He has a record of 156-103 in 8 seasons.
Overall, Collins has been more successful in terms of winning percentage and NCAA tournament appearances, but Carmody spent a longer period of time leading the program and had more overall wins.
Does this mean Sat game against WIS also will be postponed?actually you need 7.
The six I heard was "they only have 6, so by rule they have to postpone."
They can read, but they haven't figured out how to use Google properly. They can read?

Actually this is what I had ready to post after our inevitable Iowa loss. The team is reeling. COVID isn't helping, of course, but I saw the makings of a patented CCC losing streakAs a constantly traumatized NU fan, I am having flashforwards to mentions of how Covid derailed our season. How that was the moment it all went downhill.
As a somewhat significant COVID skeptic who was already pretty tempted to make a joke about 5 shots not being good enough, I also agree with this in that one silver lining out of COVID is a general greater normalization if staying home if you’re sick, whether it is COVID or just a cold. I don’t want your crappy cold just you can show how tough you are to the boss man, man! Just stay at home, work from home if needed, and don’t spread me your crud!Moving past the reference to COVID culture wars (RIP Rant Board), I agree that our society has largely resumed something close to normal life and accepted you have a baseline COVID risk when you go into a public place. So I guess Covid is still a thing.
Just recovered from COVID, and I wonder if this will impact the rest of the season. I don't think you come back 100% for some time. At least for me, I'm still feeling a bit winded when balling. And it isn't just my age showing. The young 20 year olds in our run, especially the bigs, seem to be having an even harder time coming back.
I wonder also if our COVID management was a big part of us winning the West in football in 2020. And back then it wasn't Omicron, it was Delta. While other schools got hit hard, and their players may have not been 100%, we did remarkably well in staying healthy. After now having dealt with COVID myself, I think it may been a big factor.
NFL had a 5-day isolation, and guys were testing negative 4-5 days after testing positive. They should be ready for Wisconsin if they tested positive on Monday. And I don't think any of our players are 70+, most kids recover quickly if they even have symptoms.Covid usually takes at least ten days from discovery to clear test. And at least for someone 70 years old the impacts are felt for a minimum of 3-4 weeks. So it would seem like 3-4 games minimum might be cancelled if multiple players have tested positive. Unlike earlier strains, this stuff is so transmissible you could catch it waving as you pass the guy in the toll booth.
