What a great way to top off TG weekend. By far the best ISU team in years so should be a fun day

Flo rankings as of today. Pretty tight on paper. Bonus points factor immensely as usual. Some great match ups

Also, did you think there were going to be so many Euton's on ISU's roster that you might confuse him with someone else?

The truth is that I wasn't sure it wasn't yet another misspelling in the list. I didn't know whether it was last or first name. Guys usually respond quick. It's part of what a message board is for.

And concerning being somewhat of a dick, come on . . . it's your m.o. (Not that I mind the schtick). And you could have actually answered helpfully, versus trying to lead me to your unnecessary bitter water, lol.

Makes a lot of sense to give him some rest, but man do I really want to see him vs Stout. Would be huge stock up for Endene if he could get a win over a top 5(currently) guy in Stout. Plus, projecting a bit here, but don't think Stout will face many(if any) top 10 guys all year. He will see Sasso(who I feel is a top 10 ) a few times. Other than that, their schedule is pretty gravy for 197. Getting a W over Stout this week could pay dividends in seeding come NCAAs.

One other thing to remember...there have been multiple times in the last 20 years when ISU was favored and still figured out a way to snatch a loss from the jaws of victory.
Dresser is so jealous of the Iowa program that it consumes him.

5 to 5 split. Only ones I don't see a potential upset are Caliendo, Ferrari and Elam.

Anyone think we will have Gabe go 184 and Angelo bump to 197 for this dual? I remember a couple years ago we did something similar against ISU.

I looked it up just to make sure I wasn’t misremembering things. In the 2023 dual we bumped Gabe up to 184 and it worked as we won both weights. Obviously in this case we would be taking away one of our most likely wins and could potentially lose both.

Here’s a link to a write-up of the 2023 results:

Iowa's success came as a result of coaching creativity, as head coach Tom Brands and Co. made the last minute decision to field 2023 NCAA qualifier Patrick Kennedy for his season debut at 174 pounds and bump up true freshman star Gabe Arnold to 184 pounds. The move proved critical, as Kennedy survived a determined MJ Gaitan 14-13 and Arnold pulled off his second win over an All-American, this time against Will Feldkamp, 3-2.

No. Elam's a different cat than Feldcamp IMO. And Endene has a punchers chance of winning that match. You could go with Ludington I guess, but don't know why you would in what figures to be a close dual.

Unfortunately I don't think a hobbled Kueter has much of a chance against a healthy Bastida.

None of us are on the team so who we talk about when is not relevant. Pitt only has 1 guy ranked in the top 10 so we aren't super concerned with them.

Not sure it's a good idea to take a likely win at 84 to move Angelo up where he would probably be at best a toss up. There is no guarantee that Gabe would win and the more probable scenario is the Hawks lose both matches rather than win both.
