Curious if Angelo traveled with the team? Him at 184, Gabe at 197, and JW at 157 gives Iowa the best shot. Barring something flukey a 5-5 split will go to Okie St. on bonus so Iowa probably needs to win 6 matches, which will take their best performance of the year imo. I would love to see this though as Iowa should be getting close to peak shape for the post season if guys are close to healthy. Would love to see the Hawks tie up the series and shut up the crowd at Gallagher, but I'm not expecting it. A win at 165 is huge for seeding. MC can beat anybody but MM, so he needs the 2,3,6,or 7 seed at NCAAs. 4/5 is worst case scenario at 165. Tom really hasn't seemed to put much emphasis on duals this year. Hope it pays off in March as us fans really need something positive going into the off season.

How is this possible? Iowa is favored at 2 weights that I see. This could be very ugly. 184 wont go why risk it. He has a chance to be a AA. Arnold is doing whatever he can to be on the post season team. OSU have improved over the season. IDK about Iowa.
125 - Peterson - 3 to 0 Iowa
133 - Jax - Tied
141 - Vega (Major) - 7 to 3 OSU
149 - Block - 7 to 6 OSU
157- Robideau - 10 to 6 OSU
165 - Caliendo - 10 to 9 OSU
174 - Kennedy - 12 to 10 Iowa
184 - Arnold - 15 to 10 Iowa
197 - Doucet (Tech) 15 to 15 Tied going to heavyweight.

And if the probables are what happens, the only upset is technically Caliendo over Lockett.

Until 2-3 yrs after Dake takes over
I'm good with a few different options. The only thin I know is that we need coaches who can teach offense and make the wrestlers wrestle offensively, and coaches who can relate to young recruits and draw them to Wrestletown USA. :)

This matchup is a little scary based on how the Hawks have wrestled as of late.
I have found if I am afraid of something and, I think of the best and worst case scenarios, it usually ends up somewhere in the middle.
My problem is that aside from a few weights, when wrestling talented teams we just don't seem to bring a lot of energy or excitement to the table. I mean some of our guys love to tout their takedown prowess against the likes of Purdue and Mich State, but when faced with equal or better talent it's like they don't even try. One of my most hated wrestlers but one that I used to admire - only during his matches - was Bo Nickal. That crazy f*cker would go on offense non-stop even if it resulted in him outfunking himself and being the one who got taken down. But he always kept going back for more. That's what I would like to see most of our guys do...try something and if it doesn't f*cking work then try something else. But for the love of God I just want them to do something. And we can hate Cael all we want, but with very few exceptions his 10 men go out every dual/event to score points...and that's what we need our guys to do. Sure, there's a good chance that we lose to Okie this afternoon, but I'd much rather lose to them having fought like hell than to lose to them showing no f*cking effort aside from our 7 minutes of handfighting followed by a late 3rd period or SV loss. I know I'm bitching but damn how I miss the old style. Being an older gent, I still remember when we used to cause our opponents to have sleepless nights. But now the only people with sleep issues appear to be us Hawks' fans who have a tendancy to nod off during 7 or 8 of our 10 matches each dual because our wrestlers aren't doing jack f*ing sh*t! And please forgive all the explitives. I know it's Sunday and all but I'm really in a foul mood because wrestling season is coming to an end and there just wasn't a whole lot to enjoy this season...and once again we're talking about our future recruits and what we'll become next year and beyond.

Yea. I don’t get it either. Like I can understand being a little bit more conservative in Big Ten’s and NCAA’s but why not let it loose for a dual like this?!? Turn up the offense and let it fly.

Not having BK doesn't make me change how I feel about this dual. Wasn't counting on him to win anyway.

Give him two more weeks to get "healthy" before BTT.
Me neither- just another thing that isn’t very surprising was my thought
