Big game coming Sunday. While IA is really good offensively anywhere, they are still no where near as strong on the road as at home. Thought I saw they had a 1.23 rating at home which is the best in the country but on the road a mere 1.08. Still really good but less intimidating than they are at home. And we have 3 days to prepare. Win that game and people will have a really hard time ignoring us. Lose it and it is too easy for them to say "just Northwestern" regardless of what we have done, especially since it gets tougher from there. Hopefully we can just take care of business

Iowa is much better at home than on the road. Yet, I think they swept a healthy Rutgers, so a bit concerned, but I love the fact that we have three days of rest. All in all, I like our chances.

If the players need extra motivation, I hope they remember the epic beatdown that ended last season. Go Cats!

Some teams give us match up issues. Michigan and Iowa are two bubble teams that are nothing special, but have had our number up to now. Let's have a WRA rock fight and get the W.

I dunno, Michigan beat us well in AA, but the Evanston loss was clearly because the Cats were physically exhausted at the end of that brutal schedule run. They ran out of steam at the start of the second half vs. Iowa, and hadn't recovered with MI came into town.

A loss is a loss, but I believe we beat them on a neutral court if we run against them in the tourney.

I reserve judgement on Iowa. We'll see what the staff cooks up for this Sunday.

The staff is getting better, too, and they face a real challenge trying to slow down Iowa's great shooters. But if you can beat Purdue and IU, you should be able to beat Iowa. Hopefully NU has gotten over it's occasional cold streak the second half against IU.

If nothing else, at least this game against Iowa won't have the charged-up emotion of Chris Street Night presented by BTN, when we played them earlier.
