What really sucks is that I do need a new phone and this latest roll out was really underwhelming and really expensive. Anyone getting one?

Go ahead and get the x

Not diggin the X. Crazy expensive and I don't think 'FaceID' is secure enough or flexible enough - I would end up reverting to a passcode.

Wireless charging and quick charging are the only things even a little bit compelling IMHO, but hard to justify the increased cost for that.

The size of the X is the perfect size for my hands though, so that's a bummer that there isn't a cheaper flavor of iPhone in that form factor.

Overpriced. This will drop the 7 prices down...my work will continue buying those instead.

I'm going with the 8. I'll wait for the next gen to go with what the x is because it will have the kinks worked out by then I'm sure. They're just trying to ease people into it.

Sweet spot for a good phone is around $500....I think they are missing the mark by a huge margin.

Why don't you just get a flagship model of an Android phone and get all the features Apple is going to implement 5 years from now today

I got a killer deal on iPhones...my wife buys the pieces of **** for her kids WITH HER MONEY, they can't keep from dropping the damn things because it's hard to hold a phone solidly when your head is so far up your *** you are drinking koolaid out your intestines like a crazy straw...so they drop the living **** out of them, crack the screens...and then mommy buys them another one with HER money...while I buy screen replacement kits on the cheap and fix them and use them for my own as we go along....

And I've gotten to that point where I don't need the latest and greatest phone anymore. As long as I can text, call, and watch videos every now and then, I'm right as rain.

One (wo)man's DERP is another man's treasure.

I don't know. Face ID might be worth the price. That way when I get drunk and send a text I shouldn't my wife can't read my stupid text and get mad at me.
