I would say Mike's potential is sky high. His technique level was well below Mastny's, but Mike's strength and athleticism was so incredibly high he could overcome this deficit. Give him a redshirt next year and he could very well challenge for a spot in the lineup the following year. What weight class he'll be in college will be interesting. 184? 197?
For those that didn’t watch Mikey got a TD in the first with a cradle that started with his guy in deep on a single leg. Got three swipes as time ran out to make it 6-0. Nothing in second. Release at start of third 6-1. Late in the third he is underneath on a single and his opponent locks up a cradle from a heavy hips position (really slick move) for 3. 6-4 with like 4 sec left. Rolls through and the clock reads 1 sec. The ref gives one swipe. Should’ve been 6-5 and done. Then the ref changes it to two near fall so we go to SV. Mikey immediately goes double leg and trips him down for the win. Loved to see it. Just said fine, I’ll do it again!
I just watched 4 matches and Ignasio lost because he did not get a takedown and got rode out. You have to be able to score points although he did nave the only good shot and then both scrambled for about a minute but no points. Jayden won 5 to 0 with a ride out and 4 back points in the 2nd period and an escape in the 3rd that was given. Solid win but could not get a takedown in 4 minutes of wrestling neutral. That surprised me. Jordyn won by pin in the 3rd after getting a reversal with his opponent on his back for 6 points in the 2nd period. He also got 1 point for his opponent tapping out while on his back, there in the second. No takedowns in the 1st period. But Jordyn was relentless working to get back points and dares take risks to do that. Michael won in over time having a 6 to 1 lead with 20 seconds left in the match where he took a soft shot and did not keep a hold of the leg and got cradled for 3 and then 2 points for back. I did not think there was 2 swipes before the match ended. In overtime White shot a powerful double early in overtime for the win. Only thing I did not like about White was 2 shots where he has 2 hands on a leg and lets 1 hand off and weakly let Mastny get control but the 1st was not called luckily. Michael 1st 6 points came on a Mastny shot where he was getting control of White's leg when Michael got a hand on Mastny's leg and powered him backwards to the mat and Michael gets cradle for the takedown and then right on the edge masterfully puts him on his back with no room and gets 3 more. Great win after messing up the big lead, to shake that off and win was impressive. Good morning.
Villasenor won 4 to 1 in overtime with a take down right when the clock ran out.
Villasenor lost to 3rd rated kid 4 to 2. It was 1 to 1 and Ignasio got a good shot but the taller kid was able to defend and Villasenor decided to grab both legs and loses both and gives up the takedown. Over the years it seems too often he finds a way to lose. Good wrestler, with potential but there seems to be something missing that gets in the way of him being great.
Villasenor - I rewound his first takedown attempt and there were about 4 different positions during that exchange the ref could've called a takedown on that.
White looked great out there. Wins by major dec and rounds it off with an awesome back flip.
We may have pulled the biggest recruit of the 2026 class in Michael White who just majored the guy who beat the top 190 in the Country, Waters in the semi's. White dominated the whole match on his feet. White has jumped levels this year and was so impressive in this tournament. We have wrecked Minnesota taking Spratley, Jamison, Robideau and now White from them. White beat the 3rd, 4th and 5th rated 190's in the Country in this tournament.

White got 4 takedowns with 2 double leg take downs (he won in overtime in the semi with a powerful double leg) and he had a real nice ankle pick and a reattack single. We have been concerned about getting more top upper weights to Stillwater and he appears to be a potential National Champ down the line. He would fit in real nicely at 184 and maybe when he was ready Ryder could go to 74? Also, we could have 2 champs at 32 and 44.

There’s been action on him and he’s been good, and I think we’re good.
But in this day and sich, it’s not done until they run out and shake hands in Orange.
Jayden wins by 8 to 3 decision with 2 takedowns to his opponent 1. He was tough on top and likely had well over 2 minutes of riding time. He did not give up any escapes. Solid win. 2 Champs so far!
Jordyn is a beast. Almost pinned DeKraker a few times. Loved seeing his activity from the top position.
Jordyn wins 4 to 0 over DeKraker with a takedown, escape and rode for over 3 minutes. Dominating. Also in the 3rd his opponent put 120% out of escaping and Jordyn stuck with him with great effort and toughness. Jordyn almost put him in his back a couple of time during this 3rd period battle. Jordyn is very tough. Having the Raney's is great for us. They will have different redshirts and I would bet they will be in the lineup 4 years.
Why is Bachmann still trying to ride Bassett? He’s down 6 and hasn’t been come close to turning him.
I suspect he knew he was going to lose and wanted to win 1 battle and that was riding Bassett. Also likely did not want to be in neutral where Bassett could embarrass him and overwhelm him since Bassett is wanting to wrestle and Bachmann was trying to survive because he was worn out.
He could've tried to win on his feet, but he wasn't gonna score there again that match.
Bachman also never tried to turn Bo, he just didn't want to get embarrassed.
Bo's a machine.
He knew he was unable to match pace. He knew he was unable to win hand fights. He knew he wasn’t getting past his D.
His only way to win was a mistake by Bo on bottom, which doesn’t happen much.
Yes, he is a machine. You need serious gas tank and athletic ability combined with technique to beat him.
I still feel like I would rather at least try to get another takedown but obviously I’m not in that position.
Oh yeah! I don’t disagree, but to me it was obvious, he didn’t want to be in neutral.
Myself, I’d Wrestle Bo with a Greco plan.
Wonder why Raney didn’t try to go to 150 to challenge Bo again. I understand weight difference but would have loved to see it

The 190 bracket went chalk through the quarters. Millie had a bye and then two pins. Total match time so far is 0 minutes 50 seconds. Semis start 9:45 Sunday morning
...somewhere either orally or in print, it was mentioned that Cherry O Mikey was in Stillwater for the summer....
does anyone know the term of attendance? I knew from the earlier picture of his "signing" that he was most physically equipped by the visual......somewhere I briefly saw a background story of his survival struggles, but could not read it in the entirely........from what I could read, its tone was highly complimentary of him......does anyone have access to such information?.....thanks

He also said in one of the other interviews that we have him as either 184 or 197. That's what I figured but still interesting to hear. He looks more like a 184 to me but he can still grow too. Things are looking a bit more cramped at the end of the lineup than I previously thought. Great to see.
