Ironman - Mary Beth Ellis

NU grad won Ironman Cozumel last weekend. This was her seventh full Ironman and her sixth win. I posted here during the World Champoinship in Kona in October where she led but eventually finished fifth. In fact she has either won or finished second in every other event since 2008 including full Ironman, Half Ironman and other distances.

9:15:38? Damn. That's faster than Mark Allen's Men's WR time from the mid-80's and 90 min faster than my personal best.

Her first Ironman was Austria in 2011 where she won and set an American record of 8:43:34. That was the third fastest women's time then.
