We average a pretty good number but 30 in one game? 16 made FTs so out of a total of 87 points from the field ( a heck of a lot) as many as 75 were by assist.. That is pretty unreal. Yes the were a poor D but 30 assists?

NU also scored 120 against Ball State, 116 against Kentucky, and 111 against Purdue in 1966. What the heck was in the water back then? This was WITHOUT the 3-point shot too.
I have posted many times about NU 66-69. We were really very good but only one B1G team made the NCAA Tournament back then
Jim Pitts was the center on that '66 team-rebounder, shot blocker and defender but minimal offense
Jim B was a great scoring guard
We actually lost the Kentucky game when we scored 116. Adolph Rupp's warm up drills were like watching the Globetrotters. Pat Riley made 2 free throws after NU was called for charging on what was supposed to be the last shot of the game. Louie Dampier was the other guard on UK that year
