Is 57 carries too much?

For 1 player, in 1 game, I would say yes that is too many... If I've got a stud back I try to get him a lot of carries, but definitely less than 57 for a regular season game, really probably less than 35, just so he doesn't get too much wear and tear for the rest of the season and playoffs.

That will probably be answered in the next couple of games. Does anybody know what the true number actually was? I have seen 56, 57 and 59 reported in various area publications so far. Some teams haven't even run that many total plays in a single game.

Yes. You are still in the regular season and have alot of....

.....games to be played. They will be in the playoffs and they didn't need to give him that many carries in that game.

I realize that one of their backs was out but this shows a serious lack of depth.

He only got 3 last night.

The back who returned after missing last week with a concussion got 49 carries.

He has 2 good backs and chooses to run one 49 times.....

.....I guess he isn't interested in making a deep playoff run.

They have the ability to do make a run but these guys are going to have dead legs before they could make a run.

Yes, Unless a team has only 11 players and only one of the 11 can run.
