Is 7-5 too much to ask for next year?

7-5 is not too much to ask for, as long as you realize that a couple or THREE dropped interceptions can result in more losses, just like it did this year, not much excuse for them, but these kids aren't machines.

Nice rundown Grumpy, so you think Zak stays?

EVERY position on the team should and will be open for competition this spring, I don't even know enough about Smith after surgery or Phillips with another year to completely write them off this year, but there are a lot of positions that are pretty predictable barring injuries, or a phenom recruit coming in, my prediction is that Barker improved a lot with his redshirt but Towles also improved enough to hold him off for now..

This reason alone is why we cannot lose Marrow.
There is a highly vocal minority or maybe slight majority of fans that belong to this line of thinking...that no matter what happens, UK has always been bad (which is not true...had a 5 year bowl Brooks/Joker and 4 bowl eligible teams in 6 years under Mumme/Morris run last decade) and when UK is bad it is just reality and when UK is over .500 it is an unreal coaching job.

To consider it taking 5 years to get to a SEC caliber when a recruit only has 4 years of playing eligibility is just as low an expectation as you can have almost.

Realistically w/o knowing backups for most teams.
- UK should hold the 3 OOC foes they won in 2014, Vandy on road should be a win as well.
- UL with a ton of lost starters at home should be a W.
- UF new coach, loses Fowler, new QB (even though Driskell was a beatable QB), at home,
Season swinging games..
- USCjr new QB/RB and OL. But at USCjr
- Mizzou at home...we should be able to win as we've out recruiting them 3 years now....but Pinkett always has a solid roster
- Miss St loses a ton...but on road with Dak Prescott coming back...hard call to make
- UT is at home...but we never play our best game vs. UT

There are tons of winnable moments for UK and w/o a doubt UK should pull off 6-7 wins. Anything less than 6 and Stoops is going to look more and more like Ron Zook the second.

We need to win at Vandy and at So. Miss.

Beat the 2 "cupcakes".

That's 4.

Beat Missouri at home. That's 5.

Outside of that, nothing is easy. Nothing at all. The next easiest road game is Miss. St.

So, to even win 6, we are looking at winning 3 road games, or knocking off Tennessee or Florida at home.

7-8 winnable games on the schedule
Southern Miss
EKU
S. Carolina
E. Michigan
Mizzou
Vandy
Miss St
Georgia (maybe)

UK would need a lot to go right to win 7 games next year.
