You are talking about alooooooot of waffles there chief.
We could then go after Mangino as OC. Then challenge the rest of the B12 coaches to settle football games with a tug of war at midfield.

Charlie bought Golden Corral with that Notre Dame money. He doesn't need a pass.

I'm for skipping tug of war and going straight to sumo wrestling with that bunch. If one had a coronary we'd still have two ready to gut smack any other staff into the cheap seats. It would be better than Frisbee Dog, may he rest in peace.

Hmmm.... that gives me an idea. When Virginia Tech comes back on the schedule we could settle it with a dog fight. One of the Vick boys mutts versus one of Jessco's cur's. I'm betting on the big dog from Peytona.

Some fans will never be able to adapt to life in a power conference. Dana provides WVU the best chance to be competitive in the Big 12 long term and IMO this could still be a bowl team. Holgorsen like Nehlen and Bowden won't let the catcalls from the low information fans affect him in anyway.

Message board firing now followed by message board hiring. Maybe we can do a message board Big 12 championship next with Saban triumphantly returning to the State where he was born. Delusional.

The reality is that just about every school in a P5 conference is spending big bucks on their football program and most fans of most of those schools expect good to great results. The problem, however, is that the P5 schools play each other in, and out of, conference, and only one of them can win any given game. That's to say that every time two P5 schools face off a highly paid football coach loses a game .... every freaking time.

My point? There ain't nothing special about having a coach who makes millions of dollars each season. It's just par for the course. And its delusional for fans to think their program should be better just because they spend the big bucks.

But that fact won't change the understanding of many fans who simply believe they are entitled to a successful to a very successful football program just because their school is dumping loads of money into a football program.

Do I want a successful football program. Absolutely yes!
But I have no freaking idea why our program should automatically be better than a lot of other programs who are spending big bucks on football.

It would be different if we haven't had periods of significant success before and we haven't had teams in NC contention in the 3 prior decades.

Do I expect WVU to be Alabama? No.
Do I see any reason why we should continue our track of consistent winning seasons (8+ wins) with a NC contender once a decade? Yup. Without question.

I would say we are a program equal to Arkansas, Wisconsin, Clemson, Tennessee, Stanford, etc. Some are in a better place than us right now and some have NCs, but I would still consider us in their neighborhood. In the same boat, there would be significant unrest at those schools with our record the past few years and the complete collapses we see at season's end.

Those programs go through cycles just like we do. That happened, for the most part, with those schools before and after the P5.

My whole point is that a lot of our fans act like we are "entitled" to a certain level of success and if we don't have it there is something very seriously wrong. It's delusional.

All I have come to expect since WV joined the Big 12 .......................... is entertainment. Heck, I was entertained with WV sports back when they were in the Big East. I don't demand the Win. Allz I need is an excuse to order Chinese Take-Out. Holgs delivers! I ain't sending the program no more cash nor am I making the trip to a game and spending road money. My big screen HDTV is mounted over the fireplace and is connected to the cable. Get over it ..................... folks. It is what it is! A game. A game that is being played with the fans.

Fred, is that you? Nah, wait a second, you've got cable. Fred swipes his tv off the interwebz.

Nothin' like beef low mien to watch the game with. Kung pow chicken will rip your stomach up if it's a close game.

What kind of pickle do you recommend to chase the low mien?
