Is Coley coming here as Co-OC?

No. He worked with Stoops at FSU but that's it. That's the only link. Coley didn't follow Stoops to UK as some believed he would. When there was an opening last year Stoops made it clear that Coley wasn't a candidate. There is no reason to believe that has changed. Especially since Dawson is still out in from recruiting. There will be no changes on the offensive side in the off season.

This is distressing if true

Would be surprised if Mainord survives.

You're probably right about that. I was looking more at changes in the leadership of the offense. Dawson will still be here and we will run the same system. Assuming we actually know what it is we run.

Cannot figure out the attraction is with Coley..OP just made this up I think.
I was one of few who posted about stoop's interest in coley when he first was hired... We never gave it as a rumor..
But to not address and make change on the offensive side of the ball will be very telling and concerning..
It will not disappear by it self, and dawson looked bad in most games as a play caller and also in making adjustments..

People keep acting like the only solution to fixing the offense is getting rid of Dawson and that if we don't, we're doomed. Maybe what needs to happen is we need to fix the real problem, the offensive line, maybe Stoops might get out of Dawson's way and give him more free reign to do the things he wants to do. Maybe if we let things like that happen we will see progress.

It takes time to implement an offense. I had hoped for better this year but am smart enough to realize Dawson should not be fired. We can't just fire a coach after one season with no oline and the best players being sophomores. Baker sophomore juice sophomore Conrad freshman Badet sophomore. The quarterback he had to work with struggled with any kind of consistency. UK will not have a good offense until we have a accurate smart qb. Dawson will look like a genius if we find a qb that can lead this team.

The reason I place a lot of blame at Dawson's feet is very simple. He is the one calling the plays. He should have called more of a short quick passes and use his TE more in the passing game to help out his oline. Not that he couldn't take some shots deep, but he was very predictable in the plays he run.. His running game was very vanilla as well. I don't remember him using any counter trap plays or even something like a toss sweep to use booms speed to create a crease to run to help out his oline..Now I'm not excusing the oline or there coach... But it appeared to me he didn't have any answers to most defenses. He also really struggled in in game adjustments...

I agree you can not keep switching OC every year. That ends up in disaster usually.. But if something is really bad then its better to do it now instead of waiting till next year.. Barker is a freshman so IMO it would be better to do it now and by his Jr year he should be comfortable in the offense.. Go back and watch how bad our offense played the last 6-8 games...The defense played good enough to win 8 games..As bad as they looked in the 2nd half of the ul game that's how bad the offense play for 6 games... Again go back and watch the replays.. It will make you go puke... WANT IS HE TRYING TO DO!!!!

I agree that it's not likely that he would come here but in a perfect store scenario where Rich takes his OC from Georgia and Dawson gets the HC job at ULM - maybe ? We could use the recruiting help in Florida.
