Within our program of guys being soft and constantly “hurt”? I 100% understand this was an exhibition but the standard at UK is to effin WIN AND WIN AT ALL COSTS! Tonight was an embarrassment and one I hope isn’t a reoccurring theme.

Well we sure as hell we aren’t as soft as we already seem to be because we aren’t good enough for guys to be taking nights off.Pope made it sound like Aberdeen would have played if it mattered. If this was the tourney or something I'm pretty sure Lowe would be too.

I feel ya, I’m just bummed that our guys didn’t at all seem to mind to have their asses beat on our home floor.Bud, I'm as ravenous as the come but I'm not risking anyone that's a bit banged up to win an exhibition. Especially when we play a HUGE game in TWELVE DAYS.

So, play the medically marginal players in a game that has a value of ZERO? That’s win at any cost. The Kentucky I know and root for likes to win but they aren’t stupid. This game had no merit what so ever in terms of outcome. Coaches got more looks. Players got more experience. It was a practice and those are successful practice outcomes.
Wake me when the season is on the line. Until then try not to be a Paklid (you Star Trek fans know what I mean).
Not what I’m saying at all. My point is we seem to have an issue with guys that go down with injury waaayyy too easily. In no way am I saying to play injured guys. So, play the medically marginal players in a game that has a value of ZERO? That’s win at any cost. If I posted before I wasn’t still pissed off this is exactly what I would say. But right now they got me ignorant. Na but it was a bad game to watch and I only watched like 10 minutes. Seen no hustle every time I turned it on.Nobody played with any intensity tonight. Chandler is not a PG. Jasper playing 1 on 5. Noah getting burned on defense and not getting any shots off. Kam oh lawd that’s too lengthy to get into. BG brought nothing. Moreno looked like he was competing just wasn’t his night and had a few bad turnovers. OO shooting is a problem. Jelavic didn’t seem to get much run in the second half.
Everyone played great against Purdue. That was not the case tonight. We’re not as good as we looked against Purdue and not as bad as we looked tonight.
With the full roster good to go we will be fine.
Chandler is still borderline unplayable. Yet I feel like Pope is trying to will him into existence. Kam Williams isn’t much better. He takes some TERRIBLE shots and his effort is not there. Noah needs to make shots if he’s going to play. Garrison is still Garrison.Noah, Chandler, Williams, and when JQ gets back, Garrison should be at bottom of the depth chart.
Well, it kinda was your point. If they had a hangnail, it wasn’t worth playing in this game. The game had no value at all. Exactly which injured would you have put at greater risk in a this meaningless contest? Not what I’m saying at all. My point is we seem to have an issue with guys that go down with injury waaayyy too easily. In no way am I saying to play injured guys.
No. They don’t. How can it matter if we are 0 - 0. Which game did we lose? And you are correct. The season has not concluded. It has NOT begun. That is the pointYou and I both know this is Kentucky and damn it, they all matter. Especially at Rupp.
That being said. Season isn't over. BUT if that's who we are, I'm gonna need Valium to survive until March, especially coupled with clown show on the gridiron.

Yea pushing that Mormon stuff. Would chandler be a main player at Duke UNC Kansas?Chandler is still borderline unplayable. Yet I feel like Pope is trying to will him into existence. 0 - 0.*sigh* I'm not doing this tonight.
That's Rupp. I don't care if it's a pick up game after drinks. You don't pull that **** on that court. Ever.
Relax. It was an exhibition. No reason to risk further injury to guys.Well we sure as hell we aren’t as soft as we already seem to be because we aren’t good enough for guys to be taking nights off.
Not worried about tonight, but guys missing games as frequently as they have lately is a bit concerning.Within our program of guys being soft and constantly “hurt”? ik its still early in popes tenure but i hope the recruiting gets better eventually, i feel yucky being "out talented" by teams oftenChandler is still borderline unplayable. Everyone has injuries and there is no excuse to lose to a team like this at rupp a blowout that does matter a game at rupp matters regardless of it being a exbition . We are never healthy never been healthy in 10 yrs are you saying that we're gonna use the injury excuse like we've used the last 10 yrs . Sure seems like it . Still should've won with what we had which was a 22 mil roster who is "deep" as everyone says then it shouldn't matter that some people are "injured" if we're that "deep"Nobody played with any intensity tonight. Noah, Chandler, and Williams should not any meaningful minutes this year. If they do and we lose double digit games with by far the most expensive roster, I am worried we have a coach problem.
That’s a thing of the past. Players are never going to truly care about that anymore. At any university. It’s about money and exposure now.I feel ya, I’m just bummed that our guys didn’t at all seem to mind to have their asses beat on our home floor.
Yeah, I think this is the right answer. Yes, you want to win every game, especially at Rupp. But is it worth risking re-injuring someone in order to win an exhibition? No, it's not worth that. Now, I just hope the entire team is available when it counts. That is when I would start to be concerned.Bud, I'm as ravenous as the come but I'm not risking anyone that's a bit banged up to win an exhibition. Especially when we play a HUGE game in TWELVE DAYS.
Exactly this. Him running point destroys our entire offense. It moves everyone to a position they can’t play. We have no spacing, and no passing. That is why we lost. It makes every other problem magnified 10 fold.I think they will each have moments they are huge contributors. Chandler will be fine... he just isn't the team's primary PG. If Lowe/Aberdeen hold that down with Chandler alongside them as an ADDITIONAL ballhandler who can attack in spots, he will be valuable.
Garrison played better than Chandler, Noah and Williams combined tonightNoah, Chandler, Williams, and when JQ gets back, Garrison should be at bottom of the depth chart.

Lol. No Qb and no backup Qb. Let someone else start the game threads. This is embarrassing.*sigh* I'm not doing this tonight.
