It seems we typically have a small core of players who are MLB quality, but we struggle with depth likely due to the scholarship situation. If Coach Allen can identify and recruit some of the better role players in the country to complement some of the studs, then he has a decent shot at building a winning program.
Thought we saw posted on this board that the former coach did not even go after quality players he could get.

I agree with that and surprisingly Wrassler does too. That program is not in good shape after Pariano.
Where did you see that Wrassler did? BIG is premier Wrestling conference. Do any schools not have programs? Plus we have had a number of recent National Champs. Would be a shame to see it go.

I also saw him say NU should drop it. He said the sport is too brutal.

Yeah and it's becoming a premier hockey conference and we're not part of that. We can't do everything that OSU and Michigan do.

Wisconsin disbanded its baseball program years ago and they don't have a lacrosse program. Maybe you should tell them that they're missing out, too.

If Wrassler of all people thinks that our wrestling program should be kiboshed, who are we to argue?
