Coaches see them in practice every day.How would anyone know he’s the best option?
I love the comment - but he won't start.Doty will start next week.
My point exactlyCoaches see them in practice every day.
Don’t forget about the o-line Coach. Also, the way we have been getting pushed around this season I’m starting to worry about our strength coach!!At this point of the season he is not getting it done. Plus the play calling is not helping his strengths. Need more short quick passes.
Sorry brother Evilchicken, but what pocket!!He spends waaayyy too much time in the pocket, and he looks slow as hell trying to scramble. But he’s the only real option.
Especially with no o-line!!!How would anyone know he’s the best option?
That’s a valid pointEspecially with no o-line!!!
Bingo!! We also don’t have any dogs on offensive or defense!Ugh are we ever out matched physically. Please don't let the Big body recruits defect.
Honestly, I don’t know what we can and can’t do with our skill players until we consistently start blocking. Bottom line the o-line has to be the foundation of any offense. We can have the best skill players in the world, but if we can get them the ball it doesn’t matter! That’s a valid point
Fire it to the other squad when it breaks down
How many years does it take to get BIG nasty oline MEN?? It's been a major problem for many years yet we're still talking about it. Other Schools have quick turnaround we're told have patience.Honestly, I don’t know what we can and can’t do with our skill players until we consistently start blocking. Because Rattler is playing for Rattler…….not CarolinaSitting in the stadium and being able to see the field, there were plenty of underneath routes that were open. Weren’t going to stretch the field by no means, but some yardage was there. Rattler holds the ball too long looking to stretch the field. That only works unless you have a burner or force the D to play the entire field.
That said, I’m not at practice. I’m sure they are running the best option out there, but quite frankly, our secondary hasn’t been as good as last year either so he may be lighting them up at practice.

we don’t have the receivers to go up and get it.Five interceptions in three games. Very difficult to win any game with turnovers let alone against really good teams.
Rattler won’t stick around for another year if Doty starts. I’m not sure he stays anyway, just because SC is such a poor product on the field, and it’ll be like cement boots on his future draft chances.
Nope.At this point of the season he is not getting it done. Plus the play calling is not helping his strengths. Need more short quick passes.
The reason he was benched at OU was for making poor decisions on the field. At this point of the season he is not getting it done. Plus the play calling is not helping his strengths. Need more short quick passes.

If the season continues as is, look for Rattler to hit the Portal.Rattler won’t stick around for another year if Doty starts. I’m not sure he stays anyway, just because SC is such a poor product on the field, and it’ll be like cement boots on his future draft chances.
Too many USC fans ignored the fact he was benched. They bought into the preseason hype about him. Rattler is a turnover machine, always has been and probably isn't going to change. The first int he threw was one of the ugliest passes/ints I've ever seen. He literally could not have made a worse decision and throw. His second int was because he threw into tight double coverage and the db simply took the ball from the receiver. The reason he was benched at OU was for making poor decisions on the field.
Trust the coachHow would anyone know he’s the best option?
Would be interested in your take as to what or who is the problem.Rattler is not the problem
He was just ok against Ga State, good against Arkansas and bad against UGA. Ga State was his first game. Against a good Arkansas team on the road, he played quite well. UGA is gonna make a lot of QBs look bad this year.
