He screwed up DH extension and then sabotaged him in media...the Brown hire doesnt look good, but that can change. He hasn't had to touch basketball...looked bad during VK situation, WVU slipping into a non-power conference and he just mumbles..handed power over to diversity committee

The only thing he screwed up when it came to Holgorsen is not firing his a$$ after the 2015 season. He had a chance to clean up lucks mess years earlier.

Im fine with that take...instead he tried to go the cheap route, basically betting against the following years success then had to eat crow after DH over-achieved with a 10 win season....used the media against him in the negotiating process in between.

There was tons of discussion here about that at the time...i said repeatedly, just fire him, pay him what he's owed and move on.

Pastilong had his head stuck in the Atlantic-10 money level mentality. The man was cheap and lazy. He had no desire to put forth any effort once WVU was in the Big East.

Luck is fickle. A lot of talent, great guy, easy to deal with and talk to but he has no staying power. A fart in a breeze lingers in the room longer than Luck does on a job. His decision making process is dubious at best. He is given a lot of credit for getting WVU into the Big-12 but the truth is, Don Nehlen was the big deal in that move, not Luck.

Lyons is just a suit with more in common to Joe Manchin than an Athletic Director. He has surrendered to the Woke Social Justice Pressure and burned many bridges between WVU and its base. Because Gee's office is God's waiting room, Lyons is safe. Gee will leave Lyons situation to his successor.

All of them are awful, which is why we have had nothing but awful coaches. Even Rich, as much as I loved his teams and the way he was crude and nasty to the players, was a real piece of **** as a human being.

Holgorsen at the time was averaging 7 wins per season as with WVUs historical average and had won the Big East and crushed Clemson and delivered one of WVUs few 10 win seasons (not to mention leading WVU into the toughest league its ever been in), Yet you want 5 win or less Brown to have a lifetime deal. Yeah that makes alot of sense.

Yeah that makes alot of sense.

Gene Chizik wins a national championship at Auburn in year 2 gets fired in year 4. Ed Orgeron wins a national championship 2 years ago and is probably going to get fired after this season. Both these guys won with teams they didn't recruit just like Holgorsen did in year 1. In year 5 Holgorsen goes 7-5 and takes wvu to a crappy bowl game. Coaches that are averaging 7 wins a season in year 5 are not getting contact extensions bucky boy they are getting fired.
