At the 2 and he has us drop back to pass? He should been fired for that call alone
Yeah I thought about that one all second half. We try to be tricky and lose 15 yards on a sack on the next play and settle for a field goal. Ridiculous. Our only other second half scoring drive was because we connected on a 35 yard pass on third down and 37 (because of sacks and penalties). UnacceptableAt the 2 and he has us drop back to pass? Sean Elliott had good defensive lines. Why isn't he the offensive line coach? The other guy hasn't been good since being here.OL coach for sure. Numerous penalties cost us all night. -7 yards rushing.
Hasn't Shuler been fired everywhere he has been?Yeah I thought about that one all second half. We try to be tricky and lose 15 yards on a sack on the next play and settle for a field goal. Beamer can be fired one time and be a millionaire.Likely but you have to hand it to these coaches who can fail and be fired over and over but end up millionaires
Good ole Sparky. Taneyhill helped save his job in '92 after the team revolt mid-season and they turned it around and beat UT and Clemson. But they canned him after the '93 season (his fifth season) because they couldn't win more than five games. Shane will be lucky to win five games this year in his fifth season.I am afraid that Beamer is bull-headed like Sparky Woods. Sparky got fired because he would not change offensive coordinators.
Elliott coached some decent o-lines under Spurrier. I think he's now an assistant coach for us so I wonder if position coach duties are beneath his job title now as stupid as that sounds. Legit question though.Sean Elliott had good defensive lines. Why isn't he the offensive line coach? The other guy hasn't been good since being here.

Isn't Sean Elliott also the running game coordinator/coach? If so, he needs to go just as much as the OL coach (who definitely needs to go).Elliott coached some decent o-lines under Spurrier. We would owe SB too much money to fire him. I don't think Joe Rice will step up this time. Gonna have to grin and bear it a few more years.Good ole Sparky. Definitely. New contract locked in. We're stuck with him. So typicalWe would owe SB too much money to fire him. I don't think Joe Rice will step up this time. Gonna have to grin and bear it a few more years.
Maybe he will take the VT job. That's our best hope for a change.Definitely. New contract locked in. We're stuck with him. So typical
That play call, on 1st & goal from the 1 & a half, is indefensible. Seeing it unfold made me want to break everything in sight. That TD would have put us up 2 scores & greatly changed the remaining path of the game. I want Kornblut or someone to ask about this call. I can only think of maybe one worse call in over 4 decades of watching mediocre football, & that was Satterfield's genius call of having Jordan Burch try to throw a TD pass. The pass to Brandon Shell might have actually been a better call. Damn you, Shula! At the 2 and he has us drop back to pass? He should been fired for that call alone
I read that it's $5 Million. We would owe SB too much money to fire him. I don't think Joe Rice will step up this time. Gonna have to grin and bear it a few more years.

For SEC schools that care about football, that's peanuts.
He owes us 5 million if he leaves before 12/31/25. If we were to fire him we would owe him about $18 million. (contract renewed in Jan. 2025)I read that it's $5 Million.

Or to better comprehend, 25 percent of the ticket revenue for 2025. Pocket change? Plus. Paying a new coach.Yeah its just $1 for every man woman and child in the state.

Quarterback draw would have gotten Sellers in. Probably. We have tried to run up the middle on short yardage situations though, and failed miserably.
It's going to be difficult to gameplan around this OL.
Who said anything about going up the middle. Try off tackle with Mo Brown leading. If that doesn't work, try a sneak with a very large & powerful QB that can allegedly squat 600 lbs. Anything but being cute there would suffice! We have tried to run up the middle on short yardage situations though, and failed miserably.

There were a couple designed qb runs. They went for pretty much nothing. I said before the season that DCs will know how to scheme for Sellers this season and they do. They know they have to take away his run threat so they put a spy on him on every play. That LB that was dropping into coverage with his back to the line of scrimmage last season is now watching Sellers every move.Quarterback draw would have gotten Sellers in. Probably.
We may not see anymore 75 yard runs up the middle like against LSU with Shula.
I thought he could get 2 yards but who knows. There were a couple designed qb runs. They went for pretty much nothing. I agree with that. Those in the sports world along with actors/actresses are way, way overpaid, especially when considering their value to society. Obviously, the general public is willing to pay top dollar to be entertained.Thats the ridiculousness of the entire sports world
Somewhere around 15 million. I think they were able to negotiate down to about 12 but may be remembering incorrectly. At any rate the correct answer is too much. What was Muschamp's payoff?
