Is sports programming the only reason you still have cable?

The comcast cap is 300gb where it is being tested enforced, but you can get around it by downloading large files through xfinitywifi hotspot if you have one nearby. I was paying about 110 for internet/HD tv now 45 for 90mbs internet only since april. (charleston, sc)

You might see quite a few changes in the next few years with sports programming. Disney told ESPN to cut $250 million in expenses in the next year and $100 million this year. Due to cord cutters and some providers now offering skinny packages ESPN lost 3.2 million households last year and that number is expected to increase year over year for the next few years.

Since ESPN charges the service provider $6.04 - $6.10 for every customer a service provider has, this will have a large impact year over year. Some say that ESPN will have to go to a stand alone package at $30-$40 a month as it is the only way they can make the numbers work with the amounts they are paying out to leagues and organizations.

Locals, sports, Amc, and fx just about all I watch. Live to far away for an antenna to work and sports coverage on Internet is spotty.

No.

FX, AMC, and HBO are all putting out a lot of good shows.
Don't need cable to get HBO though. And pretty much every current or recent FX or AMC show is on a streaming service (or will be if it's a new show) like Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Hulu. Won't get to see the shows until months after they air is the only problem with that though.

How the hell do people have time for television shows and posting on rivals throughout the week? What a lazy *** country we live in.

Oh yeah, you got the introductory price. Wait till you see how much it is after that if you don't have cable. I'm paying over $100 month for the 50MB package.
TWC is like the New York street vendor of major American corporations. The more you threaten to walk away, the further the price drops.

What the hell are you cheap-*** cord cutters gonna do with your massive $50-75 savings per month? I gladly pay $4 a day to watch/record anything I want without jumping through hoops to stream, download, etc.

Me personally, I have a strong philosophical objection to being ripped off. That said, when the cats are playing I reconnect the chord so my objection does have its limits
