Is Taylor getting his groove back?

Taylor seemed a bit more fluid last night. I wonder how long it takes for a transfer to feel comfortable in a new offense with new team-mates and new opponents?

I also wonder if he has had to develop a new shot under the new offense. Last night he made a few catch and release 3s that were clutch. Was he more of a spot up 3 point shooter at Evansville where he may not have been guarded as closely? This catch and release is a more difficult shot but he seems more comfortable with it.

If he caught fire, we're a different team!

he is the best shooter in the Big.
The problem is that we dont set screens for him. Why do our guys just sorta hang out instead of a fluid offense that picks and screens off the pass or dribble. I watch duke set screen after screen to get open 3s. Taylor has to do full burst sprints to lose his guy for a half second.
Start playing basketball and set some damn screens for him, damnit

Dude is far and away our best shooter. We should make sure he gets 20+pts a game!

He's a jump shooter so he's gonna have good games and bad. But I think he is starting to let loose. His shot is as pretty as it gets, just effortless, so he just has to let it fly. I bet during practice he puts on a clinic.

On his old team wouldn't he be used to getting set up by a single point guard? We don't have that so he is being set up by committee. It isn't the same.

That's probably part of it. I also think it took him some time to adjust to the length and athleticism of Big 10 defenders. It's quite a jump to go from playing Drake and Bradley to Michigan State and Michigan.

And yes, I know Loyola is in the Valley, but the physicality of his new conference had to take some getting used to.

MVC is really down this year but Loyola still looks like they could make a splash in the NCAAs if they get there. They'll likely have to win the conference tourney because that's a one bid league.

I kinda agree but I think he actually is shooting better in the big ten than non-conference which suggests it was more about getting comfortable with the team/offense rather than the level of competition.
