But we've already won 3 games. That's your argument? No we lost 3 games should be the answer. One of which should never have been close to begin with. Yes we are spose to be SEC, then why aren't we. I will tell you why, Barney and some past AD's are selfish and just love BB. We need an AD that like's FB also, not just token play.
Look at the SEC as a whole 2 teams are BB only schools and guess where they are,UK, Vandy. The 2 worst teams in the conf. There is a reason for that, we don't have an AD that takes football serious. Barney has been here long enough to have a very good if not a great coach on duty. If it's go on longer than 10 years it's been 7 years to long.
Now to Stoop's, I loved the hire at the beginning and thought he was a decent hire, not great but decent. Has not worked out yet, it's to the tipping point with me. I think he is a very good DC and a good recruiter. Just my opinion but so far I have just about given up on him ever making UK any better than it's past history.
I know my post count is low but that's fine by me, cause I don't like to see some one come on here and put down others that they don't even know much less met. I have been a paid account in the past, had to give it up a few years ago for health reasons forcing me to have to stop working. I love UK sports and FB in my favorite, but I like all of their teams. I will give Stoops till the end of season to win me over for this year. So far it looks like the experiment has failed. I just can't watch pitiful FB and like it, sorry. If we don't win at least 6 he needs to pack his bags and go. I would love to see at least 7 wins and a bowl win. Is that asking to much?
Yes the D has shown improvement but is still not up to SEC standards. The very least he has to change the DC, DL, and OL coaches. The clock is ticking to keep the fans in the seats and people that are not physically able to attend happy. Get it done Barney or else the fans will do it for you again. Go BB

There's a group that would be better off being Louisville fans , it would also be better for UK and this board if that happened . Their dream coach is at UL and they could enjoy a softer conference schedule . It would literally solve a lot of problems for everybody involved .
And you think playing 3 top 5 teams is a softer schedule than playing in the SEC east?

I may get in trouble for this, but I think it is a fair question. Is there a fanbase that eats its own worse than UK football? We won, and we are still fighting. Why can't we drink a beer together, give each other high fives and wait for the next game? It has been this way forever. I guess it is because the internet gives everyone a voice to complain, but I don't think I've ever seen a more negative fanbase when we were sitting 3-3.
It is because the internet lets people hide and become tough guys without any risk of harm. Complaining is one thing, but behaving poorly is another.
All programs have these types of fans. For us and football, it is just frustration.

There are fan bases much worse than the few illicit and spatially irresponsible thoughts of less than 1% of this board. While 99% of the fan base backs our AD and athletic programs, the dissidents continue to gain the most attention. Only in Kentucky.
That is every where. The population likes a juicy story for of inaccuracies over a boring truth any day.
Example: Look at our 2 presidential candidates and then look at fact checking against what they say. Depending on who you support, you will find fault with the other's lies overlook your candidate's mistruths.

Once again, a thread bashing our own fans, because we dare question if this coaching staff and AD is the answer. I see less trolls, than I see a Barnhart's flying monkeys infestation.

I notice alot of these fellas all pleased about our close wins vs the worst 2 SEC teams, in year 4. Are the same ones with bball related usernames or bball first people. Yes you can like both. But stop telling us football first guys how happy we should be about this mediocre (at best) football play. We love football and want to be good at it. Not just get a bowl every few years. We realize Stoops isnt in line to give us that.

You find it weird and ridiculous that people arent happy with this sad football play. This team has not been playing good ball. They have been playing good enough ball against bad opponents. But you same people are talking about a bowl, and happy because we won vs Vandy. None of you can get into your head the reasoning behind us being unhappy. We are in YEAR 4 and this is all we get. Same ole same ole. And yet you all still get happy.

In the college football world YOU ALL are the laughing stocks, not us wanting change. You all can get on here telling us how negative we are in these threads but I dont really care. Im not going to be pleased with barely beating bad teams ans losing to a pretty bad CUSA team. "Trying hard" doesnt give me a hard on in year 4 like some of you. Sorry. Any other program would be unhappy as well. Get over it. We havent proven anything besidws that we are beating teams Stoops beat 2 years ago.

You can say how we should be happy how good this team is doing compared to how bad they started, but no, it shouldnt have started that badly in year 4 of an SEC coach's tenure. Losing to a CUSA team then getting destroyed. But im supposed to be happy Stoops was able to take advantage of 2 down SEC teams? Hilarious.

You can talk tough about what you demand out of a football program but means about as much as what I'm about to type, which is nothing (mainly because I'm sure you have no interest in true discussion).

This program has sucked for decades. Changing that is not going to happen overnight, no matter how high YOU set your standards. Yes, we're in year four and short of 1 second half meltdown the team has acheived what everyone thought was possible. Yes, the game Saturday was ugly and kind of embarassing. But it was a conference win with a backup QB, something UK hasn't accomplished very often. And it was a win that UK needed. It's ok to celebrate those.

UK isn't going to wake up one day and be a dominating football team, we have to celebrate every victory and hope that the team gains confidence from them, yes, even the games against Vandy where it looks ugly.

This message board in no way represents the majority of UK football fans!
Awesome crowd at the Vandy game supporting the team and coaches.
The BBB is an awesome fan base and love all our sports teams!!

Serious question. Do you believe we are going to win 3 more games?

Hush. This is year 4. Stay the course. Channel your inner pumper. Vegas had us set at 5 games this year. We are on pace to do that. All is well in the bluegrass. Don't question anything.

Different question...is there a fan base better with the neglect that had been given to a sport we love..? THE FANS HAVE ALWAYS been there and had to put up with a certain segment of the fan base that is against fb altogether.

It sure about that. This SEC east is the absolute weakest I've seen. I'm not even sure how it happened.

Just because we beat the worst team in the SEC. Doesn't mean we're good. Especially since we beat them by the skin of our teeth at home and we were a dropped wide open touchdown pass
from likely losing. This team still has issues. We likely won't win 3 more games. Just because we beat vandy doesn't mean all of our teams/programs problems are fixed. But I guess since the fans recognize that it makes our fanbase terrible.

What is this, the flavor of the week, thought you said USCe was the worst when we beat them, will MSU be next?

What an insanely wrong posts 99% backs our AD for making horrible football hire's time after time? Is that a joke!? Sure hope so. A lot of our fans, unlike you. Are NOT ok with sucking at football, we're just simply not ok with it. We EXPECT and DESERVE better. I know you're content with barely beating 2 of the worst teams in our conference by the skin of our teeth and as long as we do that all as well. But a lot of our fans expect more than that. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Both team. SC. And vandy. Are garbage. And both are pretty much just as terrible as eachother with us not very far ahead of them. Both suck. I don't remember saying what you claim. But I have said they're horrible. Just because SC is horrible doesn't mean vandy isn't. By any means.

Also. Btw. The SC game was battle of worst team in the SEC. Same with vandy game. If we lose either of those games then we pretty much earn title of worst team in conference.

It's as simple as this. SC beat vandy. We beat SC. Say if we hypothetically lost to Vandy. It would look something sorta like this UK>USC>Vandy>UK. At that point we'd have arguably been worst team in SEC. Since we beat Vandy though and since they lost to us and SC. They're now the worst team in the SEC. With us and SC not far ahead.

Every fan base has those 10-20% that are either always positive or always negative. UK is no exception to this. Its just how fans are.

LOL

How many times in the past 38 years have either one SUNK to breaking even in the SEC, pretty sure UK has RISEN to that level THREE times.

And have NEVER exceeded it in those 38 years.
