Is there any Jimmy Brumbaugh news?

News about him being courted by other schools has kind of died off. I am assuming we are not out of the woods yet since CMS mentioned yesterday that he doesn't know if there will be any more staff changes other than he is not making any changes himself. Has USCjr filled the job opening they were looking to fill? I know a lot of the fans want him gone but he has done a remarkable job of recruiting for us if nothing else. Personally I like him. I kind of expect him to stay here for his sons senior year year in HS and then maybe bolt to wherever his son wants to attend college. Hopefully that is UK.

It'll be a win for us if we keep him. The guy knows his stuff. Worked with Rumph, Z, Bud, and soon to be Johnson and Lewis as far as NFL readiness is concerned.

I feel like we take a leap next year with a line featuring Elam, Meant, Miggins, and Ware. Maybe then, people will quit bitching. But the line has to produce. I think Brumbaugh will get it done.

Brumbaugh has done a great job recruiting. To often, fans judge a coach, without looking at the talent he has at his disposal, and I think that has been one of Brumbaugh's problems. Let's face it, the talent that Joker left, was as bad or worse then what was left for Brooks. However, the talent were recruiting is better then the talent that Brooks was recruiting.
Oh! I know, some posters will say,"How about, so and so, but I'm talking about the overall recruiting."

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

Unless we get a beast of a DLineman to commit late then I fear our DL won't be very good next year. But the LB position is the one I am most worried about. I guess our DL could be okay but it won't have much depth or experience, same with our LB's

Meant, Elam, and Ware will all have starts under their belts.

The linebackers should be fine. I think Stoops mentioned Laster and Love as two who really killed it on scout team this last season.

I'm okay with losing experience as long as it's replaced by talent. We still have Hatcher, and Ware has Bud's old combo DE/LB spot, so the position isn't totally devoid of depth. Plus we have a lot of guys who were taken off of redshirt out of necessity and they got a lot of experience.
