They did beat Oklahoma and Oklahoma State last year. Down year or not they hadn't done it before.

But wasn't WVU less than mediocre? There also hadn’t been a year where both OU and OK State were mediocre…

OU still went to a Bowl Game last year. Course any team that's 6-6 makes a bowl.We had 5 wins, 4 of them against P5 competition and 6 losses. None of those wins came against anyone particularly good, and the fact that two of those wins were from teams that came from the same state means nothing. The body of work was ****, that’s all that matters.
Brown will be gone soon enough and I think he knows this could be his last chance.Either way, this negative press only helps Brown. If this becomes the wide spread notion, any modicum of success will be viewed more favorablely by comparison.
It just sucks that we tied this mill stone around our own necks and now are just a lane duck program with our only hope being a miracle
Pffft lol. You are Neal himself aren't you? Our OL has been the weakest link Neal's entire time here. They were supposed to be the strength of the team last season. That didnt work out or even close. They could average 350 and they would still be one of the worst OL's in the B12.... because our OL coach sucks amazingly bad and there is no way to even spin it in a positive light. They have been nothing but pure suck since he took over.OL's
WVU 316
OK St 309
K State 313
Kansas 308
Iowa St 309
Baylor 307
TCU 325
TT 310
Cincy 307
Houston 310
UCF 308
BYU 311
Ok 316
Texas 316

I don't give a ****. A win over OU and Oklahoms State is a big deal. Especially as crappy as Brown teams have been.
The 4th and 1 (wasn't a yard, more than 1 FOOT) will forever be in my mind when thinking about Neal Brown. And that includes if he were to lead us to a 12-0 regular season. I doesn't matter. I will always remember that moment. It proved a lot of things to me about his thought process and understanding. Too much about "analytics" and not enough about gut.I’d give those two wins back if it meant we go for that 4th and short that would have likely ended the Pitt game when we were running it down their throat all night.
the article states really small..that was simply a lie..and whatever idiot wrote it is just as bad as the idiots who want to believe itPffft lol. You are Neal himself aren't you? Well, if you are looking to actually debunk this tweet, in order to know if what the supposed B12 coach comments are true, you would have to measure the size of the entire team, and compare it to older WVU teams. The tweet didnt not even mention the OL but the stat you posted only had to do with OL. So your post is worthless the way it is. It would be nice to know the actual truth, so why dont you just go ahead and do it for every position and compare with older teams and do a breakdown so we can debunk the dude or not.the article states really small..that was simply a lie..and whatever idiot wrote it is just as bad as the idiots who want to believe it
Go get'm tiger....the D line is the third largest in the B12..the article states "they're really small"...we aren't..thus a lie..I told him he was an idiot on the twitter feed..
Stop Pitt on their drive from their own 5 or don't turn the ball over for game winning interception. Don't make dumbass out of bounds targetting hit on 3rd down and Pitt is punting. You wouldn't even be thinking about that 4th down.I’d give those two wins back if it meant we go for that 4th and short that would have likely ended the Pitt game when we were running it down their throat all night.
you are what you are..and he is...now if the idiot would have written that WVU's pass defense was abysmal that would have been true..but no..WVU doesn't look like a MAC team size wise to the rest of the league..

Perhaps they fumble after getting a first down or perhaps they don't make it. You have no idea what would happen the rest of the game. That 4th down wasn't the only reason that game was lost.
Analytically speaking, the odds of getting a 4th and a foot on a night you have averaged like 6 ypc if memory serves, are much better than stopping an offense who has had a good game in 4 down territory.
Nope. But it was the biggest call of the game needed to be made by our head coach who chose to punt.Stop Pitt on their drive from their own 5 or don't turn the ball over for game winning interception. Play could have been a fumble on 4th an inches. Might have gotten first down then turned it over on the next play.Analytically speaking, the odds of getting a 4th and a foot on a night you have averaged like 6 ypc if memory serves, are much better than stopping an offense who has had a good game in 4 down territory.
He's got his opinion though, right? :joy:Play could have been a fumble on 4th an inches. Might have gotten first down then turned it over on the next play.
Game tied and you the ball last and driving down field and throw a game winning int for a TD.
You have no idea what happens on 4th down or the following downs analytically or not.
Yeah that makes sense. I am not happy with all the losing and want a better coach, and that is a sign that I want WVU to fail in your pea brain lol. That is funny. I would say you are the one who wants WVU to fail though. You dont seem to care how we have become a laughing stock in the college football world after a long time be being considered a top 25 team. You are like the Joe Biden of football fandom..... nothing to see here folks!Frazier is the toughest player on the field no matter who we play..he hasn't allowed a sack in his career..you seem to want WVU to fail for some reason..I don't care if Karl Childers is coach..these guys and their families commited to WVU and I have their backs
Do you really want what’s best for the players? Really??Frazier is the toughest player on the field no matter who we play..he hasn't allowed a sack in his career..you seem to want WVU to fail for some reason..I don't care if Karl Childers is coach..these guys and their families commited to WVU and I have their backs
