Is this the worst SB halftime performance of all time?

Well...

That was certainly something.

I didn’t expect Prince. Didn’t even expect U2. But that was pretty pretty bad. No “wow” moment, couldn’t begin to decipher what the **** Travis Scott was saying as rap generally doesn’t translate live worth a ****. Big Boi was alright I guess. But yea. Should’ve watched the Puppy Bowl.

Most SB halftime shows are pretty awful.

Not even sure I can recall the last “good” one.

Maybe Prince in the pouring rain?

Q: Which Super Bowl produced the longest punt of 65 yards?

A: LIII

That's it so far. The only highlight.

It was fine. They have some decent tunes. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but safe. Didn’t know he could play. Singing live gets some respect from me.

Travis Scott wasn’t for anyone on this board. Go back to guarding your lawn.

Big Boi was fine as well. He wasn’t that into it.

The Spongebob part was anti-climactic. Should’ve played Winner Takes All.

M5 is also not my cup of tea...but they (he) did a nice job. He is famous on his own and THEY have enough generic pop hits to have pulled this off. The other two were awful

Prayers sent to everyone who was forced to watch. It wasn't my type of music, but that's ok. It doesn't have to be. I took my dog Sam for a stroll around the block instead. He was appreciative and I suppose I should be grateful that no one forced me to watch the halftime show, unlike some evidently were. [laughing]

M5 suck - generic pop tunes with no special talent. Everyone is just okay. The rap stuff was horrible. It’s like new country - the same beat and the same flow; just different (inaudible) lyrics.

Lucky for me my expectations are always low when it comes to commercials and the “talent” so I’m never let down.

M5 had an impossible task because as we all saw seconds after the show ... the triggered lefty talking points were ready with their fingers on the send button. Unless AL took a knee he would be trashed. That is the root of all criticism.

How's Pitino doing in Greece?

Worst ever....Springstein in 09.

I am unfamiliar with anyone name Springstein, but without a doubt, IMHO,the best Super Bowl halftime show was Bruce Springsteen and the Legendary E Street Band in Tampa Bay in 2009. Incredible Setlist for such a limited time included:
- Tenth Avenue Freeze-out
- Born to Run
- Working on a Dream (had to promote the upcoming tour)
- Glory Days

Tom Petty came in second best IMHO while few others have been worth watching. And yes this year was the worst of all time.

Maroon 5 is awful. Adam Levine is even worse. Much like Coldpay and Chris Martin....overrated media pop darlings who have a musical style that is severely limited.

What was the deal with spongebob?
There was a push from the Internet for Maroon 5 to play Sweet Victory from the episode where Spongebob et al play the halftime show at the fictitious Bubble Bowl. It would have been the greatest moment in pop culture history and would have brought peace to the Earth.

However he spells his name he sucks. Don't even mention his name in a post with Tom Petty in it. Its insulting. Petty had worldwide fame, appeal and talent. Springstein was a product of the metro NY NJ media hype. Outside the NE corridor no one really cared enough about his work to pay any attention. He can't sing. He just sucks. Worst and least deserving of the superbowl without question.

LOL...someone is rather clueless about worldwide appeal. You should probably stop posting about this.
