Who knows what the future will bring, but so far this looks like the same way UK has ended every season under Stoops. It's hard to look at as improvement, a 31-point blowout in year 3, where the UT coach basically showed mercy in the 4th quarter.

Improvement is competing in a loss, not getting your wheels blown off at home.

As bad as Vandy is, UK is still likely to go to a Bowl. Who but the most rabid UK fan can think they're headed in the right direction after the past 2 games?

To me it just shows that USCjr and Mizzou have dropped below uk's level this year. They regressed from last year more than it is uk improving more itself.

MSU and UT games are more in line to the true level that uk is playing to this year. But,hey they can recruit.....so the only variable to reach the national championship....is time. Like, not in my or your lifetime....if ever.

Question is, will they, can they regroup and salvage the rest of the season, or lose to every team not named Charlotte? Over/under on that is...........? Vandy holds the key....and after their romp by the Cougars......they just might be able to beat VU in the 'futility bowl'......amiright?

I hope Georgia tears them a new hole next weekend. Epic beatdown.
I hate the uklowns. The way they keep the scandal alive and ignore their gay sex scandal to the arrogant smack about bball..

I need prayer because I seriously hate them and want them to be blown out every game.

Stoops is in over his head. Hope they find an excuse to keep him around.

You have my prayers coming your way right now. Just stop saying or thinking the word 'hate' and replace it with shun or dislike and you will feel better about those thoughts. Remember, that is how Christ dealt with the devil when tempted by that evil spirit. Get behind me Satan.

bbn talking about anything moral is high humor.....get down in the mud with pigs and you know what happens.....and they like it. So why stoop (Stoop) to that level. I think I accidentally made a funny.

To follow the MSU game up with that kind of performance isn't good. If they get crushed by Georgia who is really struggling then I think most of their fans will check out. They shouldn't be this bad. They are very lucky they pulled a rabbit out of the hat against EKU or this year would have been a disaster. Think about it 8 homes games.

The question is why would a 4 star go to UK at this point? UK's only chance in the SEC East is Georgia, UT, and Florida being down. I don't get the appeal of going to UK if you are a good player other than playing time. They are bad on defense this year but their Dline will be worse next year. Their best players are graduating on defense. Four star players don't go to UK to sit.....see Snodgrass.

Year three with a defensive coach and statistically they are going to be worse than his first year. In a year where they didn't face a a bunch of good offensive teams. EKU was shut out by Jacksonville St but rolled up good yards against Kentucky.

  • Not sure if UofK is improving but UT sure is. I saw the Volunteers play earlier in the year and they were not good. I saw them play last week some and they looked a lot better against Alabama, and last night they dominated UofK.
UofK is on the way to 6-6 at best IMO, and Tennessee is headed to 8-4 Some would look at 6 wins and a bowl game as improvement for the Cats. With 8 home games and just 6 wins though, it would be difficult to justify those thoughts IMO.

Thanks, Mayo. This is great advise! We should eliminate the word "hate" period!

The only thing improving around the Lexington university program is their level of competition. Winning at S.C. and beating Missouri as Rick would say, was fools gold. All the hype (Stoops troops) having 8 home games, competing for a SEC title, came crashing down last night.

There is more Orange than Blue in the stands... "Brent Musburger"
And BTW Brent, they are singing Rocky Top!

I dislike the uofk teams and fans.
Thanks for a more healthy way to express it.

Four and five star recruits Barker and Elam will lead them to the promised land!

And bbn wonder why the Cards let them 'control' out in the state recruits? Not too hard to figure that one out. Patty Ice....I mean Patty Cake anyone?

I'd like to get back to challenging for out in state recruits (only the ones we want though). Think Shelton, the Leffews, et al. It was a feature of CBP1 era and not a bad one.

If UK can't get to at least 6 wins then I'll say we are stagnant. Florida was a one score game. UT has back to back #5 recruiting classes. Even with that it should not have been a blowout. They need to play well against UGA whose offense has been really bad. Its a noon game so maybe UGA won't be pumped up.

It really is starting to look like a rerun of last year. They need to go compete with a struggling Georgia team, to show some improvement, but more likely they will get blasted. They look like a poorly coached team, soft, bad fundamentals, especially on defense. Poorly coached isn't going to get any better...

Can't get too excited by the Cats' loss. It mimics our second half collapse against FSU.

You'd need a forklift/crane to "carry" Elam plus he's so slow he can't get out of his own way and he wouldn't make a pimple on a good football player's @zz. Actually Towles does try but if he's a 4 Star then I'm simply bereft of any football knowledge, period. And as to Barker . . . . naaaaaaa I shouldn't say anything.

Sullivan began Phase One of the fire Stoops Campaign today in the CJ. If Stoops is smart he leaves UK at the end of the season or sooner. His days at UK are numbered.

Towles' QB rating now trails Jackson's against a harder schedule...

Do you think WKU would take him if Brohm leaves?

I'm sure brother Bob would give him a job... If needed. Me thinks they won't fire him if he gets to a bowl and with vandy and Charlotte left on schedule, looks possible.
